An Adventurer's Life Is Best -- by Catherine Lamey

The centerpiece of the salon is the magnificent classical sculpture Zeus Goes Fishing, also known informally as God With Rod.

Club President Pamelia Perkins and Club Curator Fletcher Hodges announce the open house schedule in the Salon, taking the opportunity to check out the prospective members.

No, this great stone face is not called "Restrooms." She is Babylonia, Goddess of Women and All Things Fertile, and at times she will awaken and demand adoration from the Club members. The Club disclaims responsibility for what might happen if she doesn't get it.

Meet the Club's chief security officer and gleemeister, Colonel Critchlow Suchbench. When he is on duty, he is oblivious to all else. He may be shaken from his state of alert only by cries of "Free drinks, Colonel!" to conduct new member inductions and to lead the club song, which is thoughtfully posted over his head. The new member induction ceremony is also your opportunity to learn the all-purpose club salute, "Kungaloosh!"

Aviator Hathaway Browne and adventuress Samantha Sterling lead us in the club creed.

Graves, the Club butler, assists the Colonel with singing.
