It's A Small World Christmas -- by Jane Jones
The Disneyland folks have done a wonderful job at respecting cultural differences, especially in those countries where Christmas is not celebrated. No halls decked out with holly and ivy here. The Middle Eastern and Asia countries have minimal changes, with some of the children simply holding bells. When you reach China, the celebration is Chinese New Year, complete
with "dragons" and fireworks!

Disney, always whimsical, has a lot of fun with the Pacific islands in particular. There are a group of mermaids that sing "Jingle Shells" and are the friends and family of Ariel (we got information that from Ariel herself)! If you look closely, you'll see that the surfer has Stitch on the front of his board.

Throughout the ride Disney utilizes the sense of smell throughout this Christmas extraveganza. It is especially pronounced whenever you near candy....breathe deep and take in the peppermint!
