GUIDE TO OLD PORT ROYALE

Old Port Royale is the place you'll go to find everything you need at the Caribbean Beach Resort.

Just outside the building is the main themed swimming pool. Inside, you'll find a bustling market and the Calypso Trading Post for shopping. The Calypso Market and Trading Post offer lots of Caribbean-themed merchandise and beachwear/equipment in addition to the usual selection of Disney souvenirs and sundries.

Next to the Calypso Market you'll find the Market Street food court. This area has a number of counter-service eateries with different types of offerings and seating for diners. This food court was recently renovated. Items from each section are selected and paid for within that section. Refillable mugs are available.

Caribbean Beach has a new sit-down restaurant, Shutters. It is located at the end of Market Street and is open for dinner only.

You cannot find Guest Services or a checkin/checkout desk at Old Port Royale. Guests needing these services should go to the Customs House or call the front desk on the resort phone.
RECREATION AT CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT

The main themed pool is located at Old Port Royale and is themed as a Spanish fort, with a waterslide, waterfalls and cannons that shoot water. It is a little smaller than the main pools at the other moderates and is very popular with small children.

If you want to avoid crowds at the main pool, each village has its own "quiet" pool. The pool above is at Aruba.

Boat rentals are available at the Marina for a bit of sailing on Barefoot Bay.

Goombay Games is an arcade located in Old Port Royale, just next to the Calypso Trading Post.
From certain areas around the lake (near Old Port Royale), it is possible to get a view of the high fireworks from Epcot's Illuminations show (this takes place nightly at 9 PM, 9:30 for most of December). And here is Maggie's photo of a Caribbean Beach sunset.

The path around Barefoot Bay is wonderful for walkers or joggers. There is a playground on Parrot Cay and other playgrounds located on the beaches near Martinique and Trinidad South.
