**Old Key West is an enormous sprawling resort. It is most convenient to have a room in a building near the Hospitality House, especially if youâre planning on eating at Olivia's or visiting the main pool. Buildings 11-14 and 62-64 are closest. If you don't have a car (and some claim that a car is necessary to stay at this resort), get on a bus. The buses usually make their last stop at the Hospitality House. Ask the bus driver if you want to be sure the bus will be going there. Also, note that only some buildings have elevators.

**Stayed there July 20-27 2002. My 1 bedroom in building 14 was well maintained, HUGE (over 1000 sq ft), convenient to the main pool and hospitality house and quiet. No complaints with the room or
housekeeping. I wasn't overly impressed with the pool, bus service or Olivia's restaurant. Pool was large, but plain. We waited longer than 20 minutes for a bus on many occasions... that coupled with internal stops which adds 10 to 15 minutes more was sometimes frustrating. Being fair, there were times we either waited less than 20 minutes or didn't make the internal stops or both. Olivia's is good for a casual dinner, but it's the only sit down option and there's no other restaurant close enough to reach by foot. I guess my biggest gripe here is that the only access to the rest of the world is with your own car or by bus (other than DD boat, which wasn't always available). The other home away from home resorts are next to or attached to a sister property and have access to more restaurants, transportation options, etc...Otherwise, I really liked the resort, pretty buildings, spacious rooms and very peaceful.
