GUIDE TO THE GREAT CEREMONIAL HOUSE

The Polynesian's main building is called the Great Ceremonial House, and is designed to resemble a Tahitian royal assembly lodge.

The 2 1/2 story atrium is decorated with more than 70 varieties of tropical plants and a lava rock waterfall. After checking in, guests will be greeted by the Island Guide staff and presented with a lei (a flower necklace), then driven to their room on a cart.

Six shops offer a variety of goods. On the first floor, you'll find apparel shops for men (Robin Crusoe's) and women (Polynesian Princess), as well as Maui Mickey's apparel store.

There is also a new Wyland Galleries store. On the second floor are News from Polynesia, Trader Jack's character and souvenir shop and Samoa Snacks, for snacks, beverages and gifts.
