I've stayed at the poly at least once every year since 1995. WDW was the place my DH and I went on our very 1st trip together and stayed at the Poly. We even got married on the beach (sunset point) in May of 1999 wearing what else - mickey ears, shorts and Poly t-shirts. It was a small wedding but everyone else along wore Poly t-shirts. We have always stayed concierge with a lagoon view so the only building we've stayed in is Hawaii (used to be Tonga). We find the staff to be most helpful and it is so convient to the MK - you can take the boat or the monorail. If you need to go to EPCOT you can walk to the TTC. You can also walk to the Grand Floridian.

Check in was very slow at the Poly; about 14 families in line, with one receptionist/clerk. It must have taken about 35-45 minutes.
Overall service was otherwise excellent, the rooms are great, but expect a lot of walking depending on which builing you end up in. We
were in the "Tahiti" building - the closest to TTC. Only about a 90 second walk. We defintiely took advatage of that. We did both the
Poly Luau and the Hoop-de-doo revue. This was at least the third time for us for both shows. The luau is getting very stale, the food
was only so-so and they no longer include the tropical drinks like before, plus it seemed a little shorter than it used to be. On the
other hand the Hoop-de-doo was all new, much longer and truly non- stop laughter. A much better value for the money. I would
definitely skip the luau again and call the hoop a must see. It is worth it to buy the mugs at the Poly we bought two and used
them extensively for free soda and coffee at Goofys little shop on site. The new pool at the Poly is great however there is no "real"
spa or whirlpool. You have to go to the Grand Floridian to use their services if you want a good soak.
