TheMouseForLess SURVIVOR
CHALLENGE #8

View Tribe Kungaloosh Challenge

View Tribe Red Hot Disney Divas Challenge

TheMouseForLess Survivors, one of the newer features of TheMouseForLess is the member survey. How does this relate to DD Survivor? Quite logically, because one of our survey respondants gave us the seed that grew into this week's Challenge. Our respondant liked what each tribe did on Challenge #6. But, our respondant wants to see what you can do with a really tight budget. I mean, REALLY TIGHT BUDGET, a *Disney for Cheapskates* budget!

Our challenge family consists of 2 adults and 2 children (14 and 11.) They have spent the past year saving for their Disney vacation and are looking forward to their 7 full days and 6 nights in WDW. Your tribe is responsible for submitting the story of our challenge family, using a short story format. Do NOT use graphics, backgrounds, fonts, music or ANYTHING other than simple default text. This is NOT a web page challenge!

Use your own judgement when setting their budget. The more money you save, the better! We want to see how cheaply our family can do Disney and enjoy themselves! How did they save money in the year prior to the trip? Where do they get online ideas on budgeting and saving money? Since our adults both work full-time, they do NOT have time to spend doing online reward programs, so do not include this option as a money saver/raiser. Do the kids bring their own snack and souveneir money or do the adults provide this? How much? On site or off site? Driving or flying? Our family also has to eat, we don't want them hungry! They want to enjoy themselves, so send them to a water park, DQ, character meal and a sit down meal at an EPCOT country. They will need to purchase their own admission media for the trip. No more than $200 of tax-return monies may be used to fund their trip. In addition, a maximum of $50/person can be gift monies. All other financial information must be documented, income/savings may be fictional but expenses must have online source documentation.

At the end of your short story, include 2 separate lists. List #1 will a simple recap of the income and outgo of their trip, label this "Financial Recap." Include links to verify their expenses within this list. List #2 will be named "(Tribe Name here)'s Money Saving Links" and should include the link and a very brief explanation of why the site was used.
