Trip Planning > Ask Pam > Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

Ask Pam -- 9/03/03

Tina Writes:

This is the first time I have been back to WDW in about 10 yrs, and we are taking our 4yr son for the first time too. We are going during Oct. so we can attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween. Any tips?

Pam Responds:

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is another great event.  It requires a separate admission ticket and will take place from 7 until midnight on October 3, 5, 10, 14, 16, 19, 24, 26, 30, 31

You can trick or treat, enjoy a palm reading or fortune telling, and other not so spooky Halloween activities. There are also quite a few characters greeting areas. Some of the characters were even in costumes.

Like the Christmas party, your price of admission includes a family picture.

Don’t miss the Headless Horseman as he rides in the parade. That always amazes me!! That horse is well trained.

Also, the fireworks are the 360 degree fireworks and they are incredible. Try to stand some where so that you have an unobstructed view of the sky.

Most of the attractions will remain open through-out the party.

To help the little ones, and the big ones, try to relax or even take a nap in the afternoon before the party.

Here is a schedule of events from last year:

Trick or treating all evening at locations marked on the map

Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Parade 8:30 and 10:30
Boo-To-You Kids’ Parades in Frontierland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland 7:30, 9:30 and 10:15
Halloween Riverboat Ride: 7:15, 8:15, 9:35 10:20 and 11:30
Halloween Fireworks 9:15
Cinderella’s Surprise Celebrations 7:30, 9:25 and 11:00
Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Halloween Revue: 7:30, 8:30, 9:20, 10:15, and 11:05 pm

Have a wonderful time, and enjoy the party. I know we will-this year DD is a pirate and we ordered her costume for the shop at the end of the POC attraction.

Ahoy matey!!
