Jennifer in MI Writes:
I thought I would email you instead of the group since I know that this topic has been covered in the past.
I just didn't pay attention to it, but now that I am leaving in 6 weeks I hope you can explain early entry
to me.
We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge for 7 nights, and since my little one gets up early it would
be advantageous of us to go to the parks early. What do I need to know?
Pam Responds:
Early Entry or the Extra Magic Hour as it is now called is a great perk for guest of the Walt Disney
World Resort. This perk is only available to guest staying at an official Disney on-site resort, and is
also open to guest at the Hilton at Downtown Disney. To experience early entry be prepared to show Disney
Resort ID for each member of your party as you enter the park. Be aware that they do check for ID's at the
gate.
Each morning one park will be open one hour early for guest to experience some of the most popular
attractions.
The Early entry schedule is below:
Sunday - Magic Kingdom
Monday - Disney's Animal Kingdom
Tuesday - Disney-MGM Studios
Wednesday - Epcot
Thursday - Magic Kingdom
Friday - Disney's Animal Kingdom
Saturday - Disney-MGM Studios
The attractions that are typically open during the Extra magic Hour are also described below:
Animal Kingdom
Discovery Island Trails
It's Tough to be a Bug!
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Pangani Forest Trail
Rafiki's Planet Watch
The Tree of Life
Epcot

It's a great perk and especially great for early
risers. You get to experience some time in the parks
with few lines!
