The Villas at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is Disney’s newest Disney Vacation Club property and is located near the spa and wedding pavilion at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.  The Villas at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are themed around the classic Disney film, Mary Poppins. In fact, as guests approach the building, they will encounter a large fountain depicting scenes and characters from the film.  The “home away from home” setting gives guests access to all the services and amenities of the Disney’s flagship resort, the Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, along with the convenience of villas which include kitchenettes or full kitchens, living rooms, and in-villa laundry facilities. This resort is sure to be a favorite among guests for its luxurious atmosphere, access to fine dining, and its convenient location to nearby Magic Kingdom theme park.

The Villas at Grand Floridian have 147 separate accommodations, ranging from Studios to Grand Villas housed in a 6 story building. Among the unique features are Mirror TVs in every villa bathroom, a pull-down Murphy Bed in Deluxe Studio villas and a media room in the Three Bedroom Grand Villas.
All rooms have either a private porch or balcony.

For a fun and more relaxing way to spend a day during your visit to Walt Disney World, each resort hosts Poolside Activities each day from 1:30 – 7:00 p.m.. Pool hours and lifeguard availability vary by pool. Activities and programs are subject to change. Transportation Times Between Grand Floridian Resort and Disney Destinations

The Monorail is available for transportation to the Magic Kingdom as well as Epcot (transfer required). There is also a water launch to the Magic Kingdom. There is Disney bus transportation to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom as well as the water parks and Disney Springs.

The monorail stop is located off the Grand Lobby second floor, at the front of the resort. The bus stop is located in front of the resort, to the right as you exit the Grand Lobby on the first floor. The boat launch is located on the Seven Seas Lagoon side of the resort, near Narcoossee’s.

These times are approximate, provided to give you an idea of average travel times. Please plan on up to a 20 minute wait for Disney transportation in addition to walking time to resort or theme park transportation stops.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Villas Childcare

There are no on-site childcare options available for Disney’s All-Star Movies.  However, Kid’s Nite Out, an in-room child care service, is available at all resorts for children 6 months to 12 years old.  Services are available 24/7.  

The Walt Disney World Dolphin offer a Children’s Activity Center option and you do not have to be a guest at that resort to use the Children’s Activity Center.  Camp Dolphin

Firework Viewing: The beach at the Grand Floridian has a perfect view of the Magic Kingdom Fireworks, as well as the electric water pageant! It’s an old favorite that shouldn’t be missed!

Monorail: The monorail is one of the top convenience of this resort. The first stop is to the Magic Kingdom but be sure to check out all the resorts on the monorail loop!

Grand Floridian Band: If you hang around the lobby for a while you might get to hear the grand Floridian band on the second floor. This band plays great music that goes perfectly with this resort’s lovely Victorian feel. Sit for a while and enjoy this resort’s charm, and don’t forget to people watch.

Garden View Tea: True to this resort’s theme one of the best meals you can get is a true English tea at Garden View Tea Room! Have finger sandwiches and scones as you drink your very own Twinings pot of tea.

Movies Under the Stars: A can’t miss at this resort is their movie under the star, where they show a different Disney movie outside on the beach each night. Check with you concierge for times and movie titles!
