Name Of Resort: Caribbean Beach

Date Of Stay: Sept 12-20 2009

Type Of Resort: Disney Moderate

Rate Paid During Your Stay: We did a MYW package with Free dining total with that and 6 day park hoppers for 2 and 1 kid was about 2 grand.

Room Sleeps : 4

Please Rate The Following On A Scale From 1-10 (10 being the best):

Theming: 8 the pool would be 10+!
Room Size: 9 (seemed huge to us after staying at Asmo!)
Amenities: 10
Quality: 9
Cleanliness: 9
Transportation: 8 (more relaxed then ASMo!)
Recreation: 10
Value: 9

Over All Rating: 9

Don't Miss: The main pool! It's awesome!!! DS had the best time on the kiddie play area! Just relaxing on a hammock with dh while ds dug in the sand!

Room Location Suggestion: We were nervous about where we would end up since we had paid for a Pref. room. We had an awesome location! Barbados building 14 room 1438! We were a short walk to Old Port Royale (the food court, shops etc) It was nice!

The Mouse For Less Tip: find out what other stops are closer to your resort! We learned we would get off at Martinique if that was the 1st stop and just walk to our room rather then sit on the bus the whole time!

Comments: We really enjoyed this resort! it was definately worth the upgrade after staying at ASMo the last 2 yrs. There was less madness and chaos while waiting for the buses both at the resort and at the parks. People here seem to get a later start. We never had to wait with many people to get on a bus as long as we went for rope drop. there is so much to do here that you could easily just stay here for a couple days and just hang at the resort! A bit disappointed in the food court here, didn't seem to have as many options and only stayed open til 11! No late night snacks! But we will stay here again!

Don't Miss: The main pool is great! Although I have no toddlers, the kiddie pool looked like an absolute blast!

Room Location Suggestion: We had preferred, which I am convinced is the only way to go at this resort as it is SO spread out. We were in the Martinique section, backside of Building 25, so we could catch either the Martinique bus or the Port Royale bus with no difference in walking distance. We were convenient to drink refills, the main pool and the marina without needing to walk a long distance or take the internal bus.

The Mouse For Less Tip: Get a preferred room. Really. You'll be glad you did.

Comments: Although the theming is lovely, I will never stay at this resort again. It offers the same amenities as the other moderates, but the busses were too slow, too full, and made too many stops consistently for the entire week of our stay. Instead of giving ourselves an hour to get somewhere, I found that it was safer to plan for 1.25/1.5 hours. I have stayed at POFQ and at ASSp and Pop, and the bus service at those resorts was MUCH quicker and more efficient.
