Doubletree Guest Suites

Submitted by: Kris Gilley

Resort: Doubletree Guest Suites DTD-Hotel Plaza Blvd.

Date of Stay: May 17-22, 2002

Type of Resort: on-property, non-Disney-owned

Room sleeps : 6 (2 doubles in BR + 1 sleeper sofa)

Please Rate the Following on a scale from 1-10 (10 being the best):

Theming: 8
Room Size: 8
Amenities: 9
Quality: 10
Cleanliness: 9
Transportation: 9
Recreation: n/a

Over all rating: 9

Don't miss: Every room is a 1-BR suite; there is bus transportation to all of the parks, DTD, and the water parks.

Room Location Suggestion: We stayed in 426 - high enough for a decent view (we could see the bus stop so we knew to wait if the bus we wanted had just passed), but not too far from the lobby.

The Mouse For less Tip: I booked through HotelKingdom.com and was quoted $128.90 per night (Doubletree's site had gone up to $173 by that time), but at check in we were told $118.

Comments: It is fairly close to everything since it is on-property, but you can get a suite for what you might pay at a Disney Deluxe for a single room. Because of the transportation, we parked the car when we got there on Friday afternoon and never moved it until we left Wednesday morning
