Bengal Barbeque - Disneyland (Adventureland)

Who: Troutt

Where: Bengal Barbecue

When: October 26, 2009

What: inner: person #1: (1)Chieftan Chicken Skewer, (1)Outback Vegetable Skewer person #2: (2)Bengal Beef Skewers, (1)Tiger Tails

Price of Entrees: $7 - $10

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)

Food: 3
Service: 5

Atmosphere:

Okay for Children: Yes. The advantage here with children is you can buy individual items that are a good portion size for little ones.

Okay for Couples: No. It is usually pretty fast service (10 to 15 minutes) but there is usually no place to sit. Good if you just want to grab it, eat standing up and go.

Be Sure To Try: Safari Skewer - Didn't get it this time, but is usually really delicious

General Tip: We got our food and then headed to The Golden Horseshoe to eat. It is indoors and air conditioned and usually has plenty of tables available if you miss the show times.

TheMouseForLess Tip: They give the Annual Pass discount. Ask for glasses of water instead of a drink to save some money.

Extra Comments: The quality has gone down. The Chicken skewers used to be all white meat and now it is white and dark. The chicken skewer was over cooked and the vegetable skewer was under cooked. Also, it is not the best place if you want a lot of food since each item is individually priced.

Who: Jette

Where: Bengal Barbecue

When: Last September (review submitted September 10, 2008)

What: beef skewers, chicken skewers, vegetable skewers

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)

Food: food definitely 5
Service: 4

Atmosphere:

Okay for Children: No, food too spicy for kids, very little seating

Okay for Couples: Yes.

Be Sure To Try: Chicken skewer

General Tip: Order alot. Portions very small, one skewer is only 3 pieces of meat. One adult could easily eat 4-5 skewers. Need to order many items good to get a variety, but pricey.

Who: Hirst

Where: Bengal Barbecue

When: July 28, 2008

What: Snack; I ordered 2 of the Banyan Beef Skewers

Price_of_Entrees: $3.79 each

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)

Food: food definitely 5
Service: 5

Atmosphere: 5

Okay for Children: Yes, but the hot and spicy was indeed hot and spicy, might be a bit too much for smaller children.

Okay for Couples: Yes, it's a communal stand-up eating area if you can't secure a table (and I don't recall seeing a smaller 2-person table). The nature of the food asks to be fed to each other though.

Be Sure To Try: The Banyan Beef Skewer is awesome if you like spicy food, there was NO fat and very little grease. My mom swears by the Safari Skewer (Bacon Wrapped Asparagus), if you like asparagus that is

General Tip: I drifted by at about 5:30pm and the line was quite long, so I went on a couple rides and came back at around 7:00 and I walked right up and ordered. This can vary, as I've been to Disneyland many times and this is my favorite place to grab a snack, and it basically depends on how hungry people are as they walk past and smell the wonderful aromas.

MouseForLess Tip: 15% Premium annual Passport

Extra Comments: Always incredible quality of food and service here, one of the gems of Disneyland

Who: Briones Family

Where: Bengal Barbecue

When: March 17, 2008

What: Lunch. We eat there every time we are at Disney. Ask for Banyan Spicy Skewers. They are awesome. No doubt to try for it.

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)

Food: food definitely 5
Service: 3-4

Atmosphere: 5

Okay for Children: Great in warm days. Okay in hot ones. Worth it in winter anyway.

Okay for Couples: Mostly family atmosphere but great for any ocassion.

Be Sure To Try: Banyan hot and spicy, outback and asparragus with bacon. The best food in the whole park.

General Tip: Be sure to have someone chasing a table while you wait in line to buy items.

TheMouseForLess Tip: Skeewers are little pieces for good eaters so be sure to order enough for your stomach. Tiger tail bread order comes two which is enough for average people.

Extra Comments: If you want to try for a snack or dinner with great spicy grilling flavor you should try for bengal barbecue.

Who: Jen in SoCal

Where: Bengal BBQ at Disneyland

When: December 2005

What: Snack. Chicken skewers; Breadstick; Soda

Approximate Price of Entrees: Chicken skewers $3-$4 each; Bread stick $2; Soda $3

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 5
Service: 3 (ran out of chicken and had to wait for them to make more)
Atmosphere: 5
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes
Be Sure to Try: Chicken Skewers, they have a sweet sauce on them.

General tips: This is an outside stand across from Indiana Jones with a few tables to sit at. Line can get long, but worth it.

TheMouseForLess tips: Kids were hungry so they each had a chicken skewer and I had the breadstick.

Extra Comments: Good healthy snack. They also have beef or veggie skewers.
