Mint Julep Bar Menu

Mint Julep Bar

Who: The Stockwell Clan

Where: Mint Julep Bar

When: Too numerous to count

What: Fritters, and mint juleps during the day, Hot cocoa and fritters at night.

Approximate Price of Entrees: $11.07 for 3 fritters and $9.96 for 4 juleps. Evening visit the same price for fritters and add $9.96 for 4 hot chocolates. Plus tax to the governor of course.

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)

Food: 5+++

Service: 3 (counter service)

Atmosphere: 4

Okay for Children: Yes.  Plenty of eye candy to keep them entertained.  Or you can take it to go and eat over by the fountain next to the Haunted Mansion.

Okay for Couples: Yes. You share the same eating area as the French Market with Jazz band and outdoor seating

Be Sure to Try: Fritters and Mint Julep. The fritters are light and airy and the mint juleps taste better than the real thing.

General tips: During the day take it to go and sit by the fountain next to the Haunted Mansion.  The park benches are shaded and the ambiance is great.  You can hear the Jazz band playing as the fountain is located right next to the restaurant.  At night just sit in the French Market seating area around a candle lit table and enjoy the Music.

MouseforLess Tip: The fritters are large so you can probably share one between two people

Extra comments: It is a little hard to find since it is tucked into the back corner of the French Market.  It almost feels like you have to go through a back alley just to get there.  Just remember to hang a left when you get to the New Orleans train station and you can't go wrong.  The juleps are so refreshing and good I wish they sold them in 55 gallon drums or just hooked me up with an I.V. needle.  After eating try taking a stroll through the streets and alcoves of New Orleans square.  With the street entertainment and small shops it gives you that French Quarter feel and the kidds just love watching the protrait artists and umbrella painters.  Unless your doing Disney "commando style" of course.  Have fun.
