Rancho del Zocalo, Disneyland Park

Who: Vasquez-Torres

Where: Rancho del Zocalo at Disneyland

When: 03/02/2009

What: lunch. My boyfriend and I ordered the burrito Sonora. We chose the beef. I loved how they pour the sauce on top of the burrito. It also includes rice and beans. mmmmm mmmmmmm

Price of Entrees: $22.00

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)

Food: 5++
Service: 5
Atmosphere: 5
Okay for Children: No, because the food is to much to eat unless it is shared between other children
Okay for Couples: Of course
Be Sure to Try: The taco salad

General tips: If it is a gloomy day i say outside under the heaters. Next to thunder railroad.

TheMouseForLess tips: The burrito i ate was big enough for someone who is really hungry. The meal is cheap when you present the ap to the cashier.

Extra Comments: It's good for dates. My boyfriend and I went for Valentines Day and we had a wonderful meal together.

Food: 5

Atmosphere: 5 themed very well!
Okay for Children: Yes, very nice with shaded tables.
Okay for Couples: Yes
Be Sure to Try: Everything!

General tips: Avoid bathrooms near by at noon, very busy.

TheMouseForLess tips: One meal will easily feed two people. For the hungry but not famished adult, try a kids meal.

Extra Comments: Sauces can be a little spicy for some, cast members will gladly serve it in a cup on the side.

Where: Rancho del Zocalo at Disneyland

When: March 25, 2008

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 2
Service: 1
Atmosphere:
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes
Be Sure to Try: Bag of Tortilla Chips (Lime?)

General tips: Very busy during mealtimes especially during peak seasons. No priority seating is available.

TheMouseForLess tips: Huge meals could easily be shared by 2 adults unless you want to be very stuffed.

Extra Comments: We had heard great things about this restaurant & being huge mexican food lovers, we made this a must stop. We were very disappointed with this restaurant. The way the ordering is set up does not make ordering multiple meals easy. There was a line for the Tacos/Burritos, a line for the Enchiladas & a line for the Salads/Desserts. We had 3 adults each wanting something from the 3 lines. 2 of us went in to order. By the time you get thru line with one item & stand in the 2nd line....the food you have on your tray is cold. After getting your food (served on heavy china plates) you get in the beverage line followed by the check out line. We went during spring break so the crowds were huge but carrying these trays & waiting for food from 3 different counters does not work well. By the time my son & I reached our table, no one had warm food.

The food (even if it was hot) was not good at all. The chicken tacos dripped of grease which soaked the tortillas that were unable to hold up. The beans tasted watered down...very runny & the rice had no flavor at all.

We were very disappointed with the meal & the time it took to get our 3 meals + 2 kids meals. The only highlight was the tortilla chips they had at the counter. They were very fresh & tasty. just the veggies as the beans kind of overwhelmed the grilled veggie taste that is so good.

Who: Zandra, 7 year old dd and 1 year old dd

Where: Rancho del Zocalo at Disneyland

When: February 27, 2006

What: Lunch, vegetarian taco plate (comes with two tacos and rice and beans, plus sour cream and guac), kid's bean burrito meal (comes with one burrito, fruit snacks, baby carrots, and a kid size drink all in a lunchbox), fountain soda, carton of milk, bag of Crispitos

Approximate Price of Entrees: $9.99 for taco plate, $2.69 for soda, $1.49 for milk, $5.99 for kid box, free Crispitos because of AP promotion. Total after tax and 10% AP discount $19.55

Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 4
Service: 4
Atmosphere: 4
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes, there are even some slightly secluded areas.
Be Sure to Try: I highly recommend the vegetarian taco salad (I had it a month previous)

General tips: Every menu item can be made with beef, chicken or vegetarian. Go into the first set of doors to see a full menu, do not rely on the short version outside the doors.

TheMouseForLess tips: The adult burrito plate is huge, easily can be shared between two people.

Extra Comments: If getting the vegetarian tacos, ask for no beans in the actual tacos, just the veggies as the beans kind of overwhelmed the grilled veggie taste that is so good.
