Okay for Children: "Yes"
Okay for Couples: Definitely
Be Sure to Try: Had the filet mignon with mushrooms and risotto and the strip steak. Everyone enjoyed their food. None of us could finish what was on our plate. Whiskey cake is a chocolate-lovers delight.
TheMouseForLess tips: This restaurant on the dining plan is an excellent money-saving choice. We were ages 6 to 62, and everyone loved the food and atmosphere. Service was excellent.

Where: Le Cellier
When: Monday Dinner, 2008
What: 4 adults, 2 kids
Approximate Price of Entrees: We were on the DDP - entrees looked
like they were in $20 range. Dinner for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) on DDP
was $150 including tip.... the price for that same family for DDP per
day was $100! So we recouped our DDP cost just on this one meal.

Food: 5 (although please note that I did not like the beer cheese
soup!!! Way too salty!!!)
Service: 4 (started out very good - but deteriorated greatly through
the course of the meal)
Atmosphere: 4 - needs an overhaul. The fake candles got to me - it
felt very 1970s
Okay for Children: OK
Okay for Couples: absolutely - nice and romantic in a 1970's earthy
sort of way
Be Sure to Try: The mushroom filet rocks!!! Totally was so much
better than the NY strip.
General tips: You have to call right around 180 days for this one.
The place is SMALL and it looks like they staggar the ressies. We
arrived 30 minutes early for ours, and we waited 45 minutes (seated
us 15 minutes after our time) and when we went in the restaurant it
was half empty!!! Totally do not understand this. The restaurant is
very small - but the filet was the best steak we have ever had on
property, in the 20 years we have been going to Disney. The NY Strip
was not nearly as good.
TheMouseForLess tips: Not sure there is one - only go if you are on the
Dining Plan. I would not be one bit surprised to see this one go to
2 TS credits very soon.
Extra Comments: Okay - we ate this fabulous meal here, but then
afterward the thought of negotiating the transportation system to get
back to Wilderness Lodge was a little overwhelming! I know folks
like to stroll after a big meal... but we had 2 small kids in tow and
it really took away from the glorious meal we had. So - keep
the "pain in the neck to get home" factor in mind if you dine. I
would probably go back for lunch, but we will not go back for dinner
again with the family until the kids are way older OR we happen to be
there on date night. I would rather eat a meal like this at one of
the resorts near where we were staying rather than in the middle of
Epcot. Of course, if you are staying at
Boardwalk/Beach/Yacht/Swan/Dolphin, I would say OK, but not if you
are on the other side of the planet.

Okay for Children: Yes, we felt comfortable with our kids being ther
Okay for Couples: Absolutely--as a matter of fact--the couple at the table next to us got engaged while we were eating
Be Sure to Try: The filet. Everyone talks highly of the cheese soup, it was ok, but I have had better--I would get another appetizer next time. I loved the vanilla creme brulee, didn't care for the maple creme brulee. The Filet ROCKED!!!
General tips: Our ressies were at 5:30 and we had to wait quite a while. But they did play a little Disney/Canadian trivia while we waited that entertained the kids. There was a very nice older gentleman that knew most of the answers and would whisper them in my girls' ears so they could get the little trivia pins they handed out for correct answers.
TheMouseForLess tips: The servings here weren't very large. I mean they were plenty big for the average person but they are not large enough, IMO to share.
Extra Comments: I have heard negative reviews about how close the tables etc. are in the restaurant. I didn't feel they were uncomfortably tight. It was a smaller restaurant but I did not feel like we were cramped or anything in there.
Who: Me (Kelly in MD), ds (10), dd (8)

He had cheddar cheese soup, pasta, a chocolate raspberry shake, and the chocolate "moose."; Dd: cheddar cheese soup, hot dog with corn, a chocolate raspberry shake, and the chocolate "moose"
Approximate Price of Entrees: Free with the dining plan, though our bill came to $85.76

Be Sure to Try: If you get the cheddar cheese soup, the pretzel bread is great to dip in it! The maple creme brulee was so good!
General tips: Our reservation was for noon, but we go there right at opening. The restaurant seemed to fill up quickly. This is a place where you might want to check in early if you don't want to wait for a table for too long.
TheMouseForLess tips: If you're on the dining plan, you can get a smoothie/milkshake as your beverage. Our server offered us the smoothies as soon as we sat down. I would not have known this if he didn't offer it to us.
Extra Comments: We ate here last year too and we enjoyed both of our Canadian meals. I like the way that the breadsticks represent different parts of Canada. The chocolate "moose" was cute! We enjoyed all of the food.

Be Sure to Try: The cheese soup was very good, and the fruit cobbler was
incredible! My favorite at Le Cellier are the pretzel breadsticks.
General tips: Definitely make ADR's as soon as possible. They were turning
people away who didn't have them on the evening we dined here.
TheMouseForLess tips: The portions here are pretty regular to me, but if we
weren't on the dinner package there's no way we would've ordered dessert too, we
were pretty full by that point.
Extra Comments: Le Cellier is our favorite restaurant on Disney property,
and we make sure to eat here every trip. We love the cellar atmosphere and the
small size of the restaurant, it's very cozy to us.
Who: Angela G. and family Angela, Allan(dh), William(ds)

When: 10/5/2005
What: Dinner 5pm- appetizer--Cheese Soup, Cheese plate, dinner--2-filet

Approximate Price of Entrees: total 106.10 with tax and tip

Food: 5
Service: 1 our server was the slowest of our trip, no refills, and for some
reason was not in a good mood and acted put out.
Atmosphere: 4 kind of dark and boring in my opinion
Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes, dark and could be romantic.
Be Sure to Try: Filet mignon, cheese soup, bread sticks and better were all
very good.
General tips: get an early seating so you don't have to wait long.
TheMouseForLess tips: Don't forget to ask for more bread sticks which are so
good.
Extra Comments: We would have enjoyed this dinner so much more if our
server did not take 2 1/2 hours to serve us our food. It would have also
been nice if she was in a better mood and didn't take it out on the
customers. The food was great though. There were really friendly people
working in the hostess positions though.
Who: The Stermels
Where: Le Cellier
When: August 18, 2005
What: Dinner
Approximate Price of Entrees: Averages around $25 for steaks, $20
for pork or fish...we used the Dining Plan
Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)

Atmosphere: 4
Okay for Children: Yes, with reservations. The windowless dining
room and crowded steating can turn off small ones.
Okay for Couples: Yes, but don't expect a quiet candlelight dinner!
Be Sure to Try: The Beer Cheese Soup with the dipping bread is
fabulous!
General tips: ADR's are a MUST! Even when we went, in low season,
walk-ins were being turned away.
TheMouseForLess tips: The Dining Plan again paid for itself at Le
Cellier, we saved about $60 over what the cash price would have been.
Extra Comments: We absolutely love the food here, but the seating is
very cramped and the service can be spotty because the restaurant is
so busy. Le Cellier is a must-stop on a Stermel vacation!
Who: The Hicks FamilyÑMe and DH (DD in the Cub's Den)

What: Dinner
Approximate Price of Entrees: bout $180.00, including 2 Surf and
Turf, Coffee, alcoholic drinks, Shrimp Cocktail, Tomato Stack

honor of our anniversary.

Okay for Children: Yes. Saw many families there.
Okay for Couples: Definitely yes!
Be Sure to Try: The food and desserts were marvelous. The bread
sticks were great as well.
General tips: ADR's are a must.
TheMouseForLess tips: I can't say enough about the Dining Plan. We are
a family that prefers sitting to eat, rather then eating on the
run. The Dining Plan is the only way to go in this case!
Extra Comments: The meal took longer than we had expected so we did
not get to DTD as early as we thought we would. Plan accordingly.
