Okay for Children: Yes, this was an amazing meal. The children had a chance to dance with Cinderella and the step sisters. We did a lot of character meals including the other princess meals and this one offered the most interaction.
Okay for Couples: I would do it only with children
Extra Comments: I didn't like that the photo wasn't included with the meal.
Loved it--will go back.
Who: Linda N, DS (age 13), DD (age 11)
Where: 1900 Park Fare - Cinderella's Happily Ever After buffet
When: Friday, January 25, 2008
What: dinner buffet. Salads, entrees and desserts.
Approximate Price of Entrees: $28.99/plate. With DDE card discount
and 18% autogratuity the bill was $101.11. (YIKES!)
Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!) OVERALL: 4.99
Food: 4.75. Sort of "odd" for pickier eaters. You will find
something though.
Service: 4.5. She did OK. A bit slow with drink refills.
Atmosphere: 5.0
Okay for Children: DEFINITELY
Okay for Couples: YES.
Be Sure to Try: The desserts here are now tasting/hors d'oevre size,
which means little waste. You have little cheesecakes, fruit tarts,
chocolate mousse, carrot cake, key lime pie. Entrees are themed by
region with Spain, Italy, Asia and traditional american. Kids buffet
and kids desserts too. Carved meat included prime rib and roast
pork. THis was a great buffet
General tips: Eat early! We had an 5pm ADR and were brought in
immediately. When we left at 6:45pm the line was out to the lobby of
the GF.
TheMouseForLess tips: There is no "For Less" tip about this buffet. I
did find it to be a great value though for the entertainment. LAdy
Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella are AWESOME. The prince was also
talkative and more than just arm candy for Cinderella. It was "worth
it" for character interaction.
Extra Comments: I just loved this buffet. Hadn't been since the
refurbishment in September. (last visit here was probably in 2006
when it was Cinderella/Prince/Mice/Fairy Godmother.) The back story
is that it is Cinderella's one year anniversary with the Prince, and
we are invited to her royal dinner. Lady T and the Stepsisters are
quite envious of Cinderella's married status and the Stepsisters are
still looking for men. Lady T "loathes children", and sneers and
rolls her eyes. I LOVED the acting! Little kids did not quite know
what to expect with her though as she is sort of stern. If you have
a timid child be sure that they know the movie. The Stepsisters are
quite silly and they argue. They also keep their eyes on the Prince
while giving envious looks to Cinderella. Cinderella, on the other
hand, was her usual and gracious self. She did warn us that the
stepsisters are still looking for husbands and I needed to watch out
for DS.
Loved it--will go back.

Where: 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian)
When: January 7 2007
What: Dinner (buffet), also ordered the glow drinks (glo-tinis for the
adults, Prince Charmings for the kids (waiter said the Prince Charming
drink was better than the Cinderella drink). Characters: Fairy
Godmother, Cinderella, Suzy, Perla, Prince Charming.
Approximate Price of Entrees: $163.26 (incl. tax & tip) total for a
family of 5 (4 adults, 1 child)
Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 5
Service: 4 (efficient, but the waiter was so busy he didn't really
have time to be too friendly)
Atmosphere: 2 Ð very noisy and crowded Ð felt kind of like a cafeteria
Okay for Children: Yes, especially younger ones. You wouldn't have
to worry about them making noise and running around. There were lots
of little girls dressed like princesses. I saw a fight break out
between two mini-Cinderellas Ð they were bopping each other on the
head Ð very cute!
Okay for Couples: No, the main point of this meal seems to be for
kids to meet the characters, although the food was awesome.
Be Sure to Try: Loved everything. Salmon was great. Loved the
Glo-tinis (also available at other WDW restaurants).
General tips: Enjoy the Grand Floridian lobby on your way to or from
the restaurant. Take the boat to the Grand Floridian from MK and enjoy
walking through the grounds to the restaurant.
TheMouseForLess tips: Disney Dining Experience card Ð saved 20% ($32.69)
Extra Comments: I wouldn't go here unless I had smaller children who
really wanted to meet the characters. Too noisy and crowded for me.
Who: Land Family
Where: 1900 Park Fare The Gala Feast at The Grand Floridian
When: Monday October 2nd, 2006
What: Supper--buffet
Approximate Price of Entrees: 28.89 per adult, 13.99 per child. For our 3 adults and 2 kids the total with tax was 122.43

Food: 4 the food was good and there was a nice variety
Service: 5--we had excellent service
Atmosphere: 4 very nice character interaction. fairy godmother, cinderella, prince charming, Stella and Pearl (the mice)
Okay for Children: absolutely!!
Okay for Couples: yes
Be Sure to Try: I loved the fresh pasta bar!! The strawberry soup was good but wasn't as good as I was expecting. They had a Great Dessert assortment!
General tips: We had ressies at 5:00. The girls dressed up as Cinderella and off we went to the Grand Floridian. We were waiting for my husband and brother in law to meet us and while we were waiting in the lobby one of the CM's from the GF came over to my girls and gave them 2 small bouquets of wildflowers. Well let me tell you, we could have gone home then--they were ecstatic. Then the Fairy Godmother came outside of the restaurant and went over to my girls and talked and talked (and talked) and I got bunches of pics of them with her. We had a great experience there!!
TheMouseForLess tips: None that I can think of.
Extra Comments: Nothing really--I think I have said it all!!!
Who: The Stermels
Where: 1900 Park Fare, Grand Floridian Resort
When: 02/04/06
What: Breakfast Character Meal
Approximate Price of Entrees: Buffet, $18.99 adult, $10.99 child
plus tax & tip, we used Dining Plan

Okay for Children: Great atmosphere for kids.
Okay for Couples: Yes, the food is very good and the characters give
you the Disney treatment
Be Sure to Try: Mickey Waffles, fresh-made omlettes
General tips: Note that the 1900 Park Fare breakfast is NOT a princess breakfast, only at Dinner! I mistakenly thought that Cindrella and friends would be here, but they only show up at night. That didn't ruin the meal at all, however...Tigger, Pooh, the Mad Hatter, Alice and Wendy Darling made for gracious hosts.
TheMouseForLess tips: We paid cash for pur daughter and saved her dining
plan credit for later. We didi this a few times on our trip and
fashioned an extra character meal out of it!
Extra Comments: The Grand Floridian is a beautiful resort and one
day I'd like to stay there. The food was fresh and the character
interaction was great, and we were only one stop from the MK on the
monorail after we finished eating.
Who: The Andersons
Where: 1900 Park Fare
When: Jan 2006
What: Breakfast buffet
Approximate Price of Entrees: DDP(would have been about $90 w/tax and tip)
Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 3

Atmosphere: 4
Okay for Children: Yes but be aware that the Mad Hatter is around and
he may frighten small children(like my 3 yr old)
Okay for Couples: Yes
Be Sure to Try: It was standard buffet fare but the strawberry soup
was GREAT!
General tips: We made ADR the day before at concierge. But it was
slow season
TheMouseForLess tips: Mary Poppins is in the Lobby. Also if you are on
DDP you can get a shake or a smoothie at no extra cost. How cool for
kids at breakfast!!!!
Extra Comments: We really enjoyed the character interaction. Alice
was great! She even sat in a chair with my DD3 and kept coming back
to her. When the Mad Hatter realized how much he upset her he was
very careful to keep away from her. We had a great experience here
and our waitress was awesome!

Okay for Children: Yes
Okay for Couples: Yes
Be Sure to Try: The pork loin
General tips: Make ADR's
TheMouseForLess tips: We were on the DDP
Extra Comments: We were almost an hour late for our Reservation due to the
buses and they seated us anyway (they had already taken their last seating
about 10 minutes before we got there). Our server made sure the characters
came over to our table (which only took about 5 minutes) We had the best
server, she was so friendly.
Who: Dan (40), Tracy (39), ds (9), dd (5), MIL, FIL
Where: 1900 Park Fare, Grand Floridian
When: September 30, 2005
What: dinner character buffet
Approximate Price of Entrees: $105.65 for Dan, Tracy, ds and dd. We were on
the (free) dining plan and MIL and FIL got a separate check.

Food: 4

Atmosphere: 5
Okay for Children: Yes, especially for little princesses
Okay for Couples: Yes if they are into characters and don't mind kids
Be Sure to Try: Everything - we all enjoyed what we ate
General tips: Get your photo taken with the Fairy Godmother
TheMouseForLess tips: Take the opportunity to explore the hotel and grounds-
there are great photo ops everywhere, especially if you are staying elsewhere.
Also, we took the boat back to MK and hopped on the bus to POR. The boat ride
was a nice change and the kids LOVED it!
Extra Comments: As a parent of a food allergic child, eating out is always a
cause for some apprehension. The Disney chefs are wonderful and extremely
accomodating. The chef at 1900 Park Fare walked me around to EVERY single
dish, explaining ingredients and offered to make whatever "safe" dish we wanted
if there was nothing on the buffet.
Who: Tiffany's Solo Trip
Where: 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian)
When: April 18, 2004
What: Mary Poppins Character Breakfast
Approximate Price of Entrees: $16.99 all-you-can-eat buffet
Rate the following (1-5, five being the best!)
Food: 5
Service: 4
Atmosphere: 5
Okay for Children: Yes, it's a character breakfast. There's even a
child-sized buffet section.
Okay for Couples: Yes, if a couple wanted to do a character
breakfast, this would be the perfect choice. The resort and the
restaurant are both very elegant, and the characters in attendance
are more subdued (Mary Poppins & Bert, Alice in Wonderland)
Be Sure to Try: The cheese blintzes with strawberry sauce are
amazing!! I could have eaten them all day! The fresh squeezed
orange juice is also really good. They have a made-to-order omelet
station, and the rest is typical breakfast buffet fare Ð sausage,
bacon, mickey waffles, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, dry
cereal, pastries, etc.
General tips: It was a nice change from previous character
breakfasts with my kids. Because of the upscale surroundings and
more "adult" characters, it was great for a childless character
breakfast. Kids still enjoy it, too, though. I was having brunch
with a friend and her three children (ages 6 to 3), and the kids
were really enjoying it. Alice in Wonderland is great!! I'd go
just to see her interact with the kids!!
Dollarless tips: Try to get the latest breakfast seating, then it can
count as a brunch. We ate there around 11 AM, and I didn't need to
eat again till dinner that night at 8 PM.
Extra Comments: Self parking at the Grand Floridian is tricky and
very far away. Give yourself PLENTY of time to arrive, park, and
walk back to the resort.
