House Hunting, Disney World
and All That Jazz!

Location: All Star Music

Awake at 5:30 a.m. I shower and then head over to the food court to get some coffee around 6:30. This is my third trip at the ASMusic using my refillable mug. Very cost effective. I spend time writing all this down and waiting for Mr. Chamberlain, the real estate agent, to call at 8. The security is very high at the hotels. Last night when the 3 of us returned to the hotel my son had to show his employee ID and I had to show my room key. I call the front desk to find out if the real estate agent can even get in here. They tell me all he will need to do is give my name and room number and he will be allowed in.

The weather appears to be holding for another day. Each night for the past 3 days the weather people have said the following day will be rainy. Then that morning they upgrade the forecast to maybe we'll have some showers. It did rain for a while yesterday morning. Then the rest of the day was cloudy and dry. Also cool… only in the low 80's. Today is looking the same, perfect weather for doing the parks.

After leaving a message with Mr. Chamberlain, I wait for his return call. He calls back around 8:50 and I tell him how to check in here. We agree to meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday. I leave for MGM and head over to the ToT. The RNRC, which had been closed for several days, opened again yesterday. Wish it didn't bother my back as it is a fun ride but I pass. I ride the ToT times 2 and then head off to who knows where. The Walt Disney show has just opened so I go in for a sneak peek. It is very well done. Many of his personal items are on display and the movie at the end is extremely interesting. I highly recommend it. Then I come across Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Now I've never watched this on TV but I decide to give it a shot so in I go. Sitting next to me is an older couple and the woman fills me in on how the game is played. The final player is a 12 or 13 year old obnoxiously, precocious boy. So much so that I almost feel he is a plant. Who knows? He answers all the questions correctly and is invited to come back for the next show.

By now it's lunch so I go off to the Brown Derby. I have little ear pasta with vegetables and chicken and a soda. Total $19.50 + tip. It's very good but I knew that as I've had it before. Then I head back to the buses to go back and rest.

As I'm getting off the bus back at the ASMusic, I hear someone call my name. I have to tell you that I was saying to my son that I thought it would be so cool to meet up with someone I knew at WDW but didn't know was going to be here. So when I heard my name called, I began to wonder if I was hallucinating. I had also told Chris that I never thought it would happen. Instead I found Kim. What a surprise! She told me she was down here finishing up some house details and, as we both have Mr. Chamberlain as our agent, I might actually be viewing her home. After giving me lots of good info, we say goodbye.

Sleep comes quickly and I wake up about an hour later feeling truly yucky. Lunch really upset my stomach but I head off to EPCOT anyway. The longer I stay out the better I feel so I do The Land ride, watch the fountain and then head to WS on the Mexico side. The parade is just starting and I attempt to keep going with little success finally stopping at Norway. I go into the ride and walk right on. That is a first! Skipping the movie I go into the Stave church for the first time. It is very interesting, especially the stories about how they found some of the artifacts.

By now the parade is just ending and I'm able to make it over to Japan in time to see the drummers again. Then it's off to see Mo- Rockin at Morocco. Apparently all the shows now have CD's out so if you've always wanted their music, you can now get it. Mo Rockin is on of my favorite shows. My goodness, that young woman can really move. The music is hypnotic.

I figure with tomorrow being a big day, I should make it an early evening. Just for the heck of it I check out TT again. Earlier the wait had been an hour (no single rider line). It's still 30 minutes so I pass. Instead I watch the fountain, look around in Mouse Gears and then watch the fountain again. Then I return to the hotel getting back at 9 p.m. I have a light supper and return to my room. It's lights out at 10:30 p.m.
