Christy - August 2004

Day 3 - Monday, Aug. 2, 2004

WELL, early is the word, we had to get up early, 6:30 and be out the door to Epcot by 7:30, the buses were late even....got on around 8:00 and fortunately after all that worrying got to Norway in Epcot for the Princess Breakfast right on time.....it was nice....the food, well, simple of course, let's face it, this wasn't about the food, it was about seeing all the Princesses for Miss Christy...which she did, in her nice little new Princess Autograph book got all 5 signatures and pictures taken with each one.....she hardly ate a thing....they did have rolls and butter and juices/coffee and eggs/hash browns/bacon/sausage....and fresh fruit on the table too with cinnamon rolls....so, that was the food, not worth $60, but oh well, the whole package was a $110 add on, but she was happy, would never do it early like this again though.....must plan better....

Well, we stayed in Epcot all day after this and decided to go check out some other things on the other side, really wanted to do the Test Track ride, so went there first and got a fast pass for 12:05 (it's now around 10:00) so we went to the Nestle Living on the Land, got right in on that, then to Imagination one (by Kodak) and did Honey I shrunk the Audience too, no wait at all)....then did the Living Sea One (boring, didn't care for this at all) and then wondered around a bit more and back to fast pass Test Drive, was great!!! ;o) really liked that one, wanted to do it again, but the fast pass wait was getting too late...., we wanted to find lunch, which we just snacked and decided to go over to the Showcase and do the World...which we went around the whole showcase, not stopping in at all of them, just walking buy and visited Germany, got a couple little souvenirs...oh and it started raining, forgot we ate at USA one, was nice too, big and had nice priced kids meals....hot dog lunch with drink for $3.49, best I've seen in the whole park!! Hubby had Cheeseburger Basket for like $5.99 but the Large Coke was $2.29....so, lunch was $16 still, but pretty good (it was raining too, so nice stop, was sunny by the time we were done...It does this a lot here I've noticed, rains for a bit, then stops and sun again.....now it's warm and sticky outside though....we walked on to Germany and then Norway, did the Maelstrom ride there, (Vikings) and it was nice, just as I remembered, took some great pictures here, then on to Mexico.....did the lovely ride there to in the boat, really pretty place in there, I really like Mexico.....

After here, hubby had to have a Germany Pin or something, so we walked back.....Didn't find any more rides really after this in Epcot, he wouldn't do Mission Space, and Christy's very tired, but wants to swim, so decide to take a Monorail Ride just for fun, just the Epcot one and came right back....we did ask to sit right in front and got in, so got a front seat view in the Monorail, that was a good as a ride to me!!! ;o) got back to Epcot and hopped bus back to Caribbean Beach Hotel and decide we will skip the big dinner tonight at LeCellier, to fancy for us and pricey too (around $35 easy for dinner we think, and really nothing for Christy to eat there), so not going back to Epcot for Dinner.....we get back and Jim takes Christy swimming, she's very tired, but thinks she can handle swimming in that cool Port Royale Pool there....soooo, they swim and I stayed back to type and write my postcards, which I did pick up three......and get my pictures unloaded off the camera.....We will have dinner up at the Port Royale Food Court area when they get back, I'm just not hungry, snacked on too much junk today!!

Going to turn in a little early tonight, Christy is losing her voice and is very tired, hope she can get a little more sleep today, we have a big day in the afternoon tomorrow, going to go to MGM, only park we haven't been to yet so far, but really, it's only day 3.... I must say too, the parks are not super crowded really, there are waits for some rides and all, but it's not as crazy as one would think for summertime and people all on vacations.....which is pretty good.....

Expenses today are:
Tip for Housekeeping $3 cash
