Christy - August 2004

Day 4 - Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004

Started a little slower this morning, Christy was coughing bad last night early morning gave her a little medicine to help, she fell back asleep, so let her sleep until like 9ish...so, was up and around and out of here by around 10:00 this morning, got to MGM for the day after that, and we started down the street by the Tower of Terror, I wasn't sure....but we got the Fast Pass just in case, the lines were awful today, the people must have all flown in because the crowds today are big...., decided to go check out some other places, went to Back Lot Tour, not a very long wait at all there....was fun and interesting...then went to Star Wars...that was really cool, Christy said it was her favorite ride....after that, got another fast Pass for Indiana Jones....for like 4ish...had to do Tower of Terror around 2:20-3:20 so, did our reserve at 2:30 for Playhouse Disney, was cute, but Christy is really growing out of those shows, she does like Stanley though and liked seeing the characters (Big Bear and Winnie and all) we didn't like sitting on the ground in there though, that part wasn't cool.... it was a very fast show... we did grab then a Fast Pass also then for the Voyage of the Mermaid show, so glad too, it's the most crowded in the park I think....very popular!! then on we went on our Tower of Terror Ride and then to Indiana Jones and then did the Mermaid show....somewhere in there we had time for The Great Movie Ride, that was cool too...waited like 35 minutes for that too, no fast pass for it available, the Mermaid show was very good, we did last stops at The Muppet 3-D and then did another Star Wars quickly with a fast pass we picked up (you can only get them at certain times, like one every 2 hours or something, which we totally took advantage of.... We ate lunch at a little burger place over by the Star Wars area....was like $16 again for lunch pretty normal prices for in here for 2 adults and a child.... then, also got a few little souvenirs, my hubby likes Grumpy and he found the Grumpy pin (the trading kind, although I don't think we will ever get into all this pin trading, maybe, but I don't know.....we need to get a lanyard tomorrow though, we are learning about it all, but I think I'll get her the nice Princess one then at the Disney Market place tomorrow, we are going there to see what it's all about and try to do Planet Hollywood with our bonus $25 coupon we have.....anyway.... after MGM we hopped a bus to the central bus area to catch the monorail to Magic Kingdom, hubby liked the Crystal Palace so much he thought maybe since it would be like 8:00 before we got there, we would have no trouble getting in....well, NO SUCH LUCK, the crowds were just really big, HUGE crowds, we were shocked...nothing like the last nights on Saturday and Sunday when we were there and could just hop on rides and well, it's changed, there are way more people here now....anyway...we couldn't get in, all seating filled for the night, so tried Liberty Tavern too, same thing, all full house....so, ended up eating at Pinocchio's Cafe thingy...was good too, really nice for counter service.....had a nice chicken salad, and hubby a burger, and Christy a PB&J and chips and drink and I got her a milkshake too (she needs calories and milk, better than junk!) so dinner was $23, not shabby and no tipping, cool!! saved there.....we did buy a Mickey Ice Cream Ears today too it was for Christy but she made such a mess, it tastes great (we all sort of shared) but it was so hot it melts way too fast for a little one to try and eat it and the chocolate slides right off......;o(

well after dinner, caught the electric parade in MK and it was really nice, stuck around for the Wishes fireworks, which are soooooo worthwhile, I can't get enough of them, I could watch them nightly if hubby would let me, but then the bus ride home, is awful, but we watched the fireworks from the end of Main Street by the exit, so we made it to the second bus (PACKED LIKE SARDINES TO THE BRIM) to the Caribbean back here.....got back like 11:00 I think......so, it's like 12:20 now and got the pictured unloaded onto the computer and my report done, I'm off to bed........everyone else here is crashed!!

EXPENSES FOR THE DAY:
tip for maid: $3 cash
Grumpy Pin Souvenir: $7 Disney $$
Lunch: $16 Disney $$
Mickey Bar: $2.50 cash
Dinner at Pinocchio's in MK: $23 Disney $$
