Christy - August 2004

Day 7 - August 6, 2004

Well, today, we have to finish up, really important was going to see Beauty and the Beast, which after talking to the people at the DVC which hubby wants to buy in and own a piece of the magic (we'll see), they won't send papers until we get home, so, whatever, we didn't have time to go over there, so, off we went to MGM to see Beauty and the Beast....we got there in plenty of time to see it, actually waited like about 45 minutes until the 10:30 show....oh well, it was so worth the wait, this show was the best one I've seen since being here.....except I love Wishes (the 10:00 Fireworks show in Magic Kingdom) but Beauty and the Beast was just the best to me, loved it so much.....it was so well done and pretty and really said "Princess" to me!! ;o)

After that, we figured we had done everything in there, so headed to Epcot because we had these nice fast passes from DVC they gave us 4 of them, each good for 2 Fast passes IN EACH PARK, wow!! what a deal!! ;o) so, we went on Test Drive, and decided what the heck, since this was really the only ride we liked, we did it again with our passes.....getting in like in 10 minutes on each one....(everyone should do the DVC tour, just 90 minutes of your time and they pick you up and drop you off, give you cookies and drinks and ice cream and 2 fast passes per person in your party PER PARK....what a deal!! I highly suggest setting up 90 minutes of your time to do the tour, it's not a real hard sell either, pretty interesting.....;o)

anyway.....so, after that, decided it's 12:30 better eat lunch in Epcot, so we did...cost around $18 for 2 sandwiches and a drink (Christy and I shared one) but this is Disney, what's not expensive?? so, then there was no wait on Spaceship Earth, so hopped on that really quick, and then left this park and headed over to Magic Kingdom, needed to see Mickey and Cinderella, so off we went on a monorail and a Ferry Boat...;o)

Got to Magic Kingdom, it's 3:00 already now...headed to find Toontown....found it...and decided to try the Goofy Roller coaster in there with Christy, she loves it, wanted to go again!!, but said had to find Cinderella and Mickey, which we did, in the Judge's Tent, found Mickey, got signature and picture, and found Cinderella in another building there, and got her and some cute mice (Darla?? and Suzy??) signatures and pictures.....so nice....;o) Well, we had these fast passes to use now in here, it's so crowded......oops, forgot to mention, we got a great spot for the afternoon 3:00 parade, it's the one with a few characters in big globes.....Mickey started the parade, it was cool, with the princess all showing up later in the parade, we had a front spot to see it really up close too...nice parade.....anyway, then went to ToonTown and then onto Tomorrow Land to find the Buzz Lightyear Ride....used our DVC fast passes and got right on....it was a pretty simple ride, you twirl around a lot and shoot and things with you little space guns, I liked just twirling around mostly...that was fun....;o) Christy doesn't know much about Buzz except she's seen him around on TV and stuff, but really doesn't watch Toy Story at all....so, anyway, it was okay, but not much there....soooo, decided to ride the Blue Line again, no wait.....then well, SHE HAD TO GO ON IT, I was a little worried, could she handle it, BUT SHE HAD TO GO, so I took her on Space Mountain, got fast passes again, and Jim didn't go at all, so he hates roller coasters....so I took her.....SHE LOVED IT....she wasn't scared at all, she was fascinated by it, ready to do it all over again... UNBELIEVABLE!! I was more worried about her, she's really a tough cookie on these rides, I guess that's a good thing!! ;o)

Next we had more time until dinner were starting to pup out a bit, but had one more ride to use (and use up our DVC fast passes) so went on the Yukon Railroad Roller coaster Ride (hubby will ride this one)....so, we went.....shook me up a lot, but it's a lot more rickety ride than like space mountain, which is much smoother ride.....Christy loved it of course!! Well, time to kill before dinner now (7:00 eating at the Crystal Palace again we have Priority Seating, which is TOTALLY NECESSARY, make sure you have them!!) It's like 6:00 now, so go by Pirates of the Caribbean, no wait at all, go for a boat ride there.....then, after that, go up into the Swiss Family Robinson Tree....then shop a little in the stores, then onto dinner....get seated around 7:15 at the Crystal Palace, nice buffet type dinner and see all the Winnie and Friends again...get signatures in the book this time around.....and pictures again, see Pooh, and Tigger and Piglet and Eeyore....very nice desserts they have there, I think that's the best part there, spend $70 to eat there for us 3, definitely expensive, but well, we had PS made and just ate there......

Time to leave now, didn't stay for show tonight, too tired, and Christy really just wants to swim and go down the slide at the Port Royale pool.....sooooo, caught a bus right away and got back here to hotel, they left for swimming......it's still like 9:48 right now....the slides close at 10:00 so they'll be back soon....(they have life guards at these pools even, too cool!! but the slides close at 10:00 and the pool is open until midnight, just can't use the slides then....;o(

Really, tired out....not planning to do the parks tomorrow, we'll see what time we wake up, but we are leaving tomorrow, not sure if we will have any time really to do anything....so, guess our week is up....leave around 12:30 (limo is to pick us up then) and then back home on plane around 3:00.....

Fun week....;o)

Expenses for the day:
Lunch out at Electric Umbrella $18
Dinner: Crystal Palace (Character Dinner Buffet) in MK: $70 Visa
Snack: Icy in the MK - $2.50 cash
?? no souvenirs today?? wow, strange!! ;o)

Well, tomorrow our bill will come with our totals on it for what all we charged to the room.....we'll see what the damage is there...but we spent most all the reward money, I think there's like $35 left on the cards, I'll have to go to the Disney Store now....or maybe I'll just go get a few little things at the Port Royale Shop in the morning, we'll have to see.....and I have $7 left in Disney Dollars money too.....better use it up, but if hubby joins the DVC, I guess I'll actively be searching and trading for Disney money for our next trip right?!?!?! lol!! ;o)
