Ray Flores - October 2004

Day 5 Monday October 18, 2004

This morning I started the day relaxing. I washed clothes and decided to go into the arcade. I went inside of the main hotel office, and went to the arcade. I collected tickets and got some very cool prizes, such as a princess pin and a fury animal for my nephew. I ate breakfast at the End Zone, and then went for the busses. Phooey I did it again. I got on the wrong bus and went to the Magic Kingdom. Back to the monorail and to the transfer center. I boarded the MGM bus and arrived there a little annoyed, but that quickly went away. I went into MGM and saw the big sorcerer's hat. I had my map and wanted to do Who Wants to be a Millionaire. I was in the audience and played along by answering as the questions. I sat in seat 285. The goal was for the audience to make it into the top ten, and then increase there points. The top one would be picked. Well that did not happen, for me, but I did have fun. They only selected two people for the time I was there. I went next door to the kid's area, it's a small world. It has a really nice playground. I went around the corner to Pizza Picanet and ate lunch. I then went to Muppets 3d Vision, but forgot to get my glasses. However it was still a great show. I walked around a bit and then decided to see if my friend Jeff would help me with my digital camera. I called but he was busy. I just hoped on a ferry and went to his hotel, the Swan and the Dolphin. There was a huge IT computer confrence in town so Jeffy was really struggling with Internet connectivity issue all over the hotel. I got really lost in the dolphin hotel trying to find the business center. Jeff is like me a computer technician. We discussed meeting tomorrow for the Magic kingdom firework show, wishes. I went to the business center but they had no way to connect my digital camera up. So I just sent an email to my friends. I called Jeff and told him that I understood he was busy and I would call him from my resort. I headed back to MGM aboard the ferry. I boarded the Sports bus and went back to the hotel. I decided this would be a great time to pack up my suit cast and tidy up the room. I ate dinner at End Zone then decided to go to Pleasure Island. I packed my Planet Hollywood gift card. With my Ultimate Park Hopper Pass, I can gain entry to any park that I want to. The first thing I did was to go to Mannequin a real up beat night club. My hand was stamped and they scanned my card. There was no one there at 8:00 PM. I headed over to Adventure club and boy that were so neat. I can't remember everything but I remember going into the treasure room and seeing Yvette and Beazle. I got to hold one of the hats, during the show I stepped out to the bar and got me a drink. While sitting at the bar, one of the animatronics started talking to me. "The show must have stunk so badly, now he needs a drink." I toasted him and just laughed. I did not stay for the entire show. I wanted to go to Disney Quest over on the West side. I crossed over, and then walked down and found it. I entered and boarded an elevator. The genie, from Aladdin was our pilot. I browsed around. It is five stories of pure interactive gaming. I walked around just drooling at all of the computers, and the best part was that it was free. I played some pinball. I went to the third floor and played Buzz Light Year. It is a bumper car style game that requires two players, so I was at a disadvantage. You role over balls, pick them up, and fire them at other bumper cars. On my way out I did take note of what I wanted to do so that I can come back tomorrow. I was on the West End and had trouble finding the bus stop, which was next door at Pleasure Island. So it took me some time to get to the bus stop. All Star Sports was about 35 minutes from downtown Disney. I got back to my room and wrote in my journal, taking note of what was happening tomorrow. My plan tomorrow is to go back to MGM to do some more, and then hit Disney Quest.
