Day 3 Saturday October 16, 2004
First thing I did this morning was put my mug in my fanny pack. I went down to the End Zone food court and ate breakfast. I arrived at Epcot at 8:15. I did the same security check in, but I just got in line for the turnstiles. They let me in, and the characters greeted us in there big red bus to signify the opening of the park. I went back to Spaceship Earth, and got my digital camera out
and decided to take some pictures. I then went to Innoventions. I fell in love with the place. The first thing I did was to play a game of who wants to be a millionaire on a computer. I did not thank about the question and lost at the $ 1000.00 bench mark. I then went to an interactive musical game, in which I created music giving me points. One game I had to try and jump and move around
popping bombs. The other had Mickey at a piano. I did really bad on it, but it was fun. I went around the corner to the firehouse display, and noticed a huge fire engine with patches on the window. The patches have been sent from different firehouses across the Untied States. I went inside of the firehouse, and joined other people in playing a game of; "find the fire hazard." The object
was to take a flashlight move it along parts of a room, and decide if it is a hazard. If it was, then I blast it and get point. My team won the game, but it was very educational. I found some computers and sent a couple of e-cards out. I traveled to the Living Sea attraction and boy was I thrilled. I was just in time to see an underwater dolphin show. Rainer, an amazing dolphin, was
so neat. I learned that a dolphin has a belly button and that it is a misdemeanor to harass a dolphin the wild. I took lots of pictures of Rainer but the Plexiglas kept ruining the shot. I went into the World Showcase, and picked up a passport for each country to stamp. At Canada the delegation and I laughed at each others accents. In each country I did get my passport stamped and
they wrote a greeting in there own language. As I walked though the United Kingdom, the building structure stood out in my mind as it was just like on TV. I crossed the International Gateway, I did not now what that was at the time, and walked to France. They had a replica of the Eiffel Tower, and someone took a picture of me standing beside it. I went through Morocco, and got an
indication that I needed to replace my batteries in my digital camera. I was very upset because I have invested a lot of money in batteries. I closed the camera and turned it off. I opened it up and was fine to take pictures. I went through Japan and got took amazing pictures. There was this unique house made in Japanese architecture. I stopped by the US and just made some
mental notes of what I wanted to do. I had read a lot about the American Adventure, but the show had already started. At Italy, I did get my passport signed. Next, I hoped on a boat and went across the World Showcase Lagoon. I decided it was time for a break. I stopped in the camera place, but still no luck with my digital camera. I went back to the hotel, ate lunch, and
rested. I went back to Epcot about one and a half hours later. I went to Mission Space, and got in the single line. It was about 15 minutes. I was given an orange card that would calculate the amount of time it took me to get from the outside to the point of stepping onto the ride. I was assigned as the Mission Commander. I really pulled down on my chest restraint as much
as I could. One of the guys from Apollo 13 was the Mission Commander. I really felt the G forces on the ride. I started to move my head, but I remember being told to always look forward at the screen, never look away. The ride lasted about 4 minutes. I was screaming quite a bit. I went to Mexico and went into the big Inca ruin shaped museum/store. My room key, also my
Disney charge card had become demagnetized. I went to Norway to a store called Kringa. I got an iced pretzel and something to drink. When he tried my Disney key card, it did not work, I did not thank I had any cash, so he the meal for free. I sat down outside and ate my pretzel which took me about 15 minutes. I traveled to Germany and saw a lot of German beer. I was
not compelled to buy any alcohol. I went back to the US and ate dinner at Liberty Inn Tavern. I got this jello that was red and blue with white cool whip. It had colorful Mickey inside. I went and did the American Adventure and it was just like the place at Liberty except that it focused on the nation as a whole. After the show, I walked back around the World Showcase
and stopped in Canada. I started looking for a place to watch Illumination. I met these nice people from Orlando, who told me that the World Showcase pavilion would be the best place. I sat down right beside a shop and just stretched my leg. All the walking made my leg muscles hurt badly. I met this nice family from Brazil. I decided to call a lot of my friends. I
waited about one and a half hours and then Illumination started. I really was impressed with Illumination. It was my first firework show in about 4 years. Shrapnel kept falling on my head. It was a circus trying to get out, but I got back to All Star Sports. I stopped at the gift shop, and picked up the packages I bought yesterday at Magic Kingdom. I chose to ship everything instead of having to carry it around. I did not drink any soda today. I just went to the bathroom and filled up my mug with water. Tomorrow, I will be going to Animal Kingdom and the Halloween party.
