Day 6 - Thurs. December 2, 2004
We're not hitting a park today, so we can sleep late. Our wake up call came at 7:00!! Not too late!! Today, DD is doing the Pirate
Adventure Cruise at the Grand Floridian. We are supposed to get there between 9:15-9:30. We leave the room at 8:20 and barely make
it there by 9:25. I think Disney could implement some kind of better service to get guests to events located at other resorts. They're
getting our money for doing the event, so why not provide better transportation to it? Anyway, we get checked in, DD gets her life
jacket and pirate bandana and I get a beeper. Off they go and off I go to the GF Café for breakfast. Then I check out some of the GF
gift shops. I then settle in to read a magazine & just chill until it's time for the "pirates" to return at 11:30.
We hop the monorail to MK and just as we get to the bus stop, a POR bus is pulling in - good timing!! We're back in the room by 12. We
head to the gift shop for our "final" purchases, since tomorrow (Friday) is our last day. Dropped that off in the room and we were
at the pool by 1:30. Housekeeping had still not cleaned our room, by the way!
Why oh why couldn't it have been hot today like it has been some of the previous days?!?! It is a bit cool, but since there's a slide,
there's no keeping DD away! So, we alternate between the pool and hot tub. We stay a couple of hours then go back to the room to get
ready for MVMCP. We leave at 5:05 to WAIT on a BUS!! We get to MK about 5:40 and I realize we missed the tree lighting AGAIN!!! So, we
hurry hurry to Splash to get it in before most of MK closes at 6:00. Barely make it!
Then we head for Tomorrowland and eat at Cosmic Ray's. It's fair food. The we hit the rides in this land. We wait 15 min to ride the
Indy cars, at DD request. Then TTA. We both just love this. We get in line for Astro Orbiter - I've never been on this one. Still. Cuz
once we got off the elevator and DD saw what it was, she refused to ride. Next up, Buzz and then the line for Stitch at 8:25. DD wanted
to do this again, but I just didn't see wasting the time!! I would really like to see some of the Christmasy stuff, but as you will see,
we mainly used the MVMCP to hit the rides.
Next, Teacups, Peter Pan, Snow White, Haunted Mansion (9:45) - supposed to be 10 min wait, but it was MORE. Then we rode Splash at
least twice, saw Woody & Jessie, BTMRR twice and we're ready to GO! Got DD's pic made for the MVMCP free 5 x 7, on the bus and to bed at
12:00! WHEW!!

Day 7 - Fri. December 3, 2004
Our wake up call came at 7:00 today, our last day. Today, we are doing the Family Magic Tour at MK. We are supposed to get there
between 9:45-10:00. Bell services get our luggage and store it for us to get later. We arrive at MK around 9:30 and checked in for the
tour. They're taping for the "live" Christmas Parade today, so Main Street is PACKED and areas are roped off. Also, you see many groups
of teens in matching shirts everywhere today and I know the Pop Warner and dance/cheer teams are arriving, making MK more crowded
than we have seen all week.
The tour is great fun, a MUST do!! It was officially over at 12:30 in Fantasyland. After taking a potty break, we head to HM. BTMRR is
a 30 min wait - longer than we've seen at all!! So, we got a FP and rode Splash (5 min) instead, then used FP on BTMRR. Then we're
planning to head to the Country Bears, but we left the area on a different bridge and didn't pass by them like I thought we would. Oh
well, we'll just miss it. So, we rode JC, then we're leaving MK for the last time.
Catch a bus (2:45) to Beach Club - want to check out Beaches and Cream. Arrived around 3:30, checked in for a table - 30 min wait!!
They don't take PSs here. It was not quite that long of a wait, but the food was totally WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!
We walked to Epcot (very handy! Will have to stay at this resort & take advantage of that!!) and quickly headed to Test Track to try to
ride DD's favorite ride one last time before heading back to TN. We still had a FP that we didn't use from Wednesday. They made no
comment at all about that and waved us on in! Fab ride!
Head out to the bus stops and get on at 5:45. Arrive at POR and our driver is already there. We get our luggage and leave for the
airport. Uneventful flight. We land at 8:50, catch the shuttle to the off-site parking where we left the car. We gave them our ID# and
when we arrived, our vehicle was pulled up, heater on (cuz it was COOOOLD in Tennessee, we had missed days and days of cold rain while
we were in sunny Florida!!!) ready for luggage to be put in. We paid for the parking and arrived back in Gallatin around 10pm. WONDERFUL
TRIP!! I hope you enjoyed reading about it, although it took me long enough to do the trip reports!!
