Wagner - October 2004

Sunday, October 24th - Day 4

We didn't do a wake up call this morning because we had all day at Epcot and decided whenever we got there would be fine. Even so, we were still at Epcot just after 9 am. The wait for the bus was our longest yet - about 10 minutes. We went straight for a FP at Test Track and then went to ride Spaceship Earth - basically we walked on. After that we got Minnie's autograph and then went to Test Track. We had a Fast Pass and it took 45 minutes due to the fact that they stopped in 3 times while we were in line! We have never been on this before so we thought it best to just stick it out. It was an interesting ride - just the different aspects of it - and I like the very fast part at the end - but overall - NOT worth a 45 minute wait.

Next, we headed to World Showcase - our plan was to simply take our time and eat our way around the Food & Wine Festival. We tried many different foods - just sampling and sharing as we went around - it was all pretty good - I can't think of anything we just down-right didn't like. We rode the boat in Mexico, milked the cow in America, enjoyed the Living Statue in Italy and watched the candy making in Japan. The Living Statue was the best - she knelt down and hugged DD5 and then just stayed there. DD5 was just smiling and hanging on and until finally she slipped out underneath the statue's arms - it was fun.

Next, we head to The Land to do the Jr Chef Nestle Cookie class. The age for this in up to age 10 - so DD11 stepped out when it became a full class so there'd be room for younger kids. Okay, so technically she shouldn't have been in there to start with - but I figured if the class wasn't full there was no harm in it - she stepped out on her own and I was very proud of her for doing so. DD5 loved this - it was fun and I wish DH would have video taped it but I got lots of pictures. Rode the Living with the Land ride.

We did Journey into Imagination with Figment. We've never done this before - it was cute. We stepped over to the Living Seas to look for Nemo - I wasn't sure how Disney was going to come up with a Nemo costume - well, it wasn't - he was a motorized thing - I'm not sure how describe it - he was neat to see but, obviously, could not sign an autograph. The whole coral reef thing they have outside of the Living Seas is cool. There was actually a person in a coral costume there - kind of did the same type of thing that the Living Statue in Italy does - touch someone that wasn't expecting it, that sort of thing - it was fun to watch.

We did some shopping and everyone got a t-shirt then went to check on our Leave A Legacy tile. I had forgotten to bring our site with us - I'm sure there's someplace there where we can look that up - but we knew the general area and I can't believe we actually found it! We headed back to POR.

DH and the girls went to the pool while I packed up (tomorrow's our last day), I went by the gift shop to get stamps (I still haven't mailed those postcards yet) and they are out of stamps. Ugh! Then I joined the family at the pool, we swam for awhile then went to the food court for a late, light dinner before heading back to our room and to bed.

High Point: We all enjoy strolling around the World and just the different things you see every time.
Low Point: Test Track wait
Tomorrow: AK and then home
