Jarvis - December 2005

Day 5: Tuesday December 13 2006
Weather: High 64, Low 48. Sunny all day.

We were up and out the door very early for our 8:30 ADR for the Princess breakfast in Norway. We really like this breakfast and the restaurant is beautiful. We met Belle, Mulan, Snow White, Aurora and Jasmine.

After breakfast we went back into Future World and rode Test Track while Mom went in to get fast passes for Soarin. We were able to walk right on to test track and probably could have rode again since there were literally NO lines. We met back up at Mouseworks and went on Ellens Universe of Energy. I love the dinosaurs and Chris loves the jeopardy part.

On the way to Soarin, we were able to meet Mary Poppins who is Mom's favorite, Mickey, Pluto, Minnie, Chip and Donald Duck Chris gave treat bags to Mickey, Chip, Donald and Baloo. Baloo was adorable and put his arm around Chris and started walking out the door with his arm around Chris so they could go eat the treats. The pictures I got of it were precious. Donald loved his treats too and Chip put Chris' hat on his ear for the pictures.

We went on Soarin again, which was just as amazing as the first time. I can see why this is such a popular ride. We got a few deserts in the Season food court in the land. We got the Worms in dirt for Chris, and mom and I split the Soarin Crem Brule and butterfinger cheesecake.

We went into world showcase and started in Mexico. We went on El Rio De Tiempo and checked out the shopping. Chris loves the hand painted animals that are for sale in the front of the temple but they are just way too expensive for a 13 year old. After a bit of pouting, we headed back to Norway and rode Malestrom which is one of my favorite rides. I love trolls and bought myself one this year at the shop at the end of the ride. Norse mythology is one of my favorite subjects to read about and I love seeing all of the trolls. I could spend a small forture in that store. The perfume that is sold there is amazing too. I saved my money though and got out of there after taking pictures with the huge troll and viking hats. We went on to China and met the Monkey King, Mushu and Mulan. Mulan remembered Chris from the breakfast so he got a bit of extra time with her. Chris played with the juggling sticks on the way out of the pavilian for quite a while and we went off to Germany.

As we are German, we love this pavilian. We met the German Christmas story teller and the toy soldier. Chris is in chior in school and this year they learned a German folk song. Chris sang it to a few of the German CM's and we got some of the amazing German cookies and sat by the stature of St George (I'm pretty sure that is who this is) and rested for a bit. We saw the train and shopped for pickles for presents. We went to Italy and saw the Romeo and Edna show that the street performers were doing. Very funny. Chris and Mom met the Christmas witch and watched the jugglers while I did some Christmas shopping for friends. Then it was on to America.

We ate dinner at the Liberty Inn and checked out the giant gingerbread house. I never really liked gingerbread til this trip! I guess it finally rubs off on you. We saw voices of liberty singing Christmas carols in the waiting area of the American Adventure. We met Santa and got great pictures. Considering the fact that Chris is 13 I never thought I would get another pic with Santa or Mrs Claus. Very memorable. We went on to Japan and Chris watched the Japanese candy maker that makes candy animals. Very entertaining and amazing how she does it. We met the Japaneses "Santa" and then went to Morocco. We met Genie and looked at the pavilian. Took pictures at the usual spots and then went back to England to do some Christmas shopping for friends and went to Canada to see if we could find some Molson Max Ice. You can only find this in Canada so we figured maybe we could get lucky. Anyone on the list know where to get any? I would be more than happy to pay shipping, etc.

Anyway, we we unable to get it in Canada so we went to the boat launch and went to the Yacht and Beach club to check out the gingerbread/chocolate holiday deco. We were really amazed at the carousel. We did a bit of shopping and were lucky enough to find a 2006 Disney World calendar which I had not seen anywhere else on the propery. I was extremely happy to find this. We took the bus to DTD and then hopped right on a bus to the hotel. Off to bed at a decent time.

Firsts for the day: Characters: Mushu, Genie. Attractions, shows, hotels: Voices of Liberty, Romeo and Edna, Yacht & beach club.
