Halloween Party Friday Sept 22nd.
Today started off very very hot. We were worried about this party
because of our costumes but it ended up being not to bad when the sun
went down. It was hot but not as hot as it was all day. We started
off going to Downtown Disney. We wanted to make it a short day since
it was going to be a late night and it was so hot. We went to the
Lego store and my son went crazy! he loved this store...we had a
blast..my hubby was just as bad. They have cups you can fill with all
kinds of neat things. We filled a bunch and came home with a ton of
lego's. We also went to Once upon a toy and got 2 boxes filled of the
Disney potato heads and lots of pieces to go with it. After a few hrs
shopping we head to International Drive to Tony's Roma's...my husband
favorite place and we found out till the end of the month it was all
you can eat ribs...hubby was in Heaven! after this late lunch we
headed back to the room to get dressed. We had fun getting
ready...and everyone loved our costumes. We were all pirates. Hubby
looked great! we were a little nervous because we did not see alot of
adults dressed but once we got in to the park there were a ton of
people dressed up kids and adults.
**Not So Scary Halloween Party**
Ok I have alot to say about this. I was start off saying that with
any Holiday Disney does it like no other....everything is wonderful
in Disney and always over the top. I had a great experience with this
and loved the whole thing. I am glad we really did this...with that
said I would not do it again. I think it is a one time experience.
(If I had to do a little pro and con here...below would be the con)
We got into the park and received our Free Trick or Treat bags...we
headed in and at that time they were still trying to get people out
that didn't pay. The thing is unless someone catches you I am sure
people were there that didn't pay. I did see them asking a few people
to leave but me and my husband felt that it was not right at 7:00
they were still in the park. We paid extra for this and they should
be out of the park when the Halloween Party starts. It was
very...very...very crowded the most I saw the whole time we were
there...when it started off it was disorganized to me and we never
saw or found a place to get a free picture that night. However one of
the CM took a family pic for us with Goofey and Buzz.
They have special maps for this so you will get a Halloween one. We
went in to the Dance party where we found a ton of characters...all
the Villians and we got some great pics! they played Halloween music
and you could dance with them it was alot of fun and exciting! We did
get alot of pics here!
There was a ton of trick-or-treating and they give you the locations
on the map...there is a section in Mickey's Toontown Fair ... Alice
and Mad Hatter's treat party and it is a path to trick-or treat. That
was alot of fun! we hit all the places and they give you hand fulls
of candy. We filled 2 huge ziplocks with candy.
There was Halloween Dance Parties, Trick-or-treating, some
attractions open, Villain's Mix & Mingle that takes place in front of
the castle a few times that night, The Mickey's Boo-to-you Halloween
Parade that was great! and then the best thing of all and the
BEST...BEST...BEST FIREWORKS YOU WILL EVER SEE...the Happy
Hallowishes fireworks were incredible...wonderful. I had goose bumps
through the whole thing...very worth waiting for!
