Day 6 - Thursday, December 15th
Today Tom & I were ready by 7:30 & descided to bring breakfast to the
room again. Worked well yesterday saving time. We woke Kendra at 8am. We
all ate & left by 8:45.
We descided to take it slow today & enjoy the beauty of AK. We did ITTBAB, the Safari, & Dinosaur 2x's. Then we had lunch at Flame tree BBQ. Tom & FIL had ribs (average) MIL had a chicken sandwich which she liked, I had the pulled pork sandwich (was ok) & Kendra had lunch from McDonalds.
While eating it started to rain. We waited it out for about 45 minutes. It was still kinda misty so we went to the FOTLK. AN Amazing show!! After the show Kendra got her face painted again this time a butterfly.
Then we went over to Camp Minnie& Mickey. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald, & Santa Goofy. Then we went to get a spot for the Jingle Jangle Jungle Parade. The parade was very nice. Not my favorite but I still enjoyed it. FIL & I then descided to head to EE while everyone else used the restrooms. It didn't look that far from where we were but boy it was a hike. We must have taken the scenic route. haha EE had a 10 min wait. Cool! We were in line for about 15 min & heard they were having ride difficulties. Bummer. We descided to give it 10 min but
after 15 min left. Well just our luck as soon as we were outside we heard cheers. WE were going to head back in but it was starting to rain harder & everyone would probably be getting antsy waiting for us. So we didn't get to expierence EE. (I am so bummed).
We then left & the rain started coming down really hard. At least we made it to the car without getting soaked. WE went back to ASMo to freshen up. Tonite we had ADR's at 7pm for 'OHanna's. Since it was still raining when we got to the Poly we splurged & did vallet parking. We all were so looking forward to this meal!! We checked in but had about a 30 min wait still. We were seated by the windows without asking!! Wow What a view! I can see why someone would wait for this table. Dinner was fabulous. I was not looking forward to the salad with the honey-lime dressing but it was delicious. mmmm I liked everything but the steak. I felt it was a little too done. Our cousin was sooo nice. He even brought out a special
hot sauce for FIL b/c FIL commented the wings needed more of a kick. FIL said it was the best hot sauce he every had. DD had 2 huge chicken fingers but they were more like chicken breast cutlets. She ate both of them. DD & I were given maraccas & we danced around the entire resturaunt. Dessert was there when got back to the table. It was a huge piece of bread pudding w/van icecream & bannanas foster sauce. MMMMMMM I didn't think I'd like that. Kendra had a dish of vanilla icecream with Mickey jimmies.
After dinner we looked around the Poly. I didn't see any major Christmas display like the other Deluxe resorts had. We then called it a night.
