Danielle & Family - May 2007

Trip Report - May 1-8, 2007
Who: Danielle(mom) Paulo(dad) Nakyah(our 6 yr old daughter) Desmon(our 3 yr old son)

Day 4 - May 4, 2007

We are going to Downtown Disney today and do not need to be on a bus until about 10am We went swimming in our hotel pool this morning, it was a little chilly so we only went in the water for about 30 minutes. We went to our room and showered and got on our bus.

We were going to go to Disneyquest first. It opened at 11:30. There are lots of cute photo ops at downtown disney. I was a little disappointedwith downtown disney, but i might have been expecting too much. It reminded me too much of a chuck e cheese. We did the virtual jungle cruise first and waited 15 minutes in line for this. It was ok. We then got in line for Pirates and that was a 25 min line. Aladdins magic carpets were next and that wait was about 10 minutes. It was really cute though. We then checked out the create zone, the kids liked that. We had lunch at foodquest. The food was really good there. We then decided to do some shopping so we headed back to that area.

The stores we went to were Team Mickey, Mickey's Market ($10 or less store), Once upona toy (paul and I paid for the kids gifts here they did the mr potato head and little pony fill up a box for $18), The lego store we found to be over priced, World of disney is where we bought most of our souveneirs (this store is huge, better deals at our home disney store). Our kids rode on the train that is near the front of the shopping area.

I wanted to go to the memories store to get some things for my scrapbooking, but found them to be very expensive and not a buig selection. I ended up getting most of my scrapbooking things online later. I had asked Paul to watch the kids and he said he was going to take them to the jumping fountain, mind you we had dinner reservations for Chef Mickey's at 8:00pm. When I cam out of the store the kids were drenched. Paul was dozing off on the bench, we decided that was enough shopping and went back to the hotel to change the kids and have a break.

We got to our hotel around 6pm and left for magic kingdom at 7pm we got to magic kingdom and got on the monorail to the contemporary resort. Chef Mickeys does a photo package which we bought. We loved this restaurant and strongly recommend it. I will be going back. Mickey Minnie, Donald, and Goofy were there. The food was really good and it is a fun restaurant. We left there around 9:45 and got back to our room around 10:30. It was a great day.
