Cast: Marcia & ds Max who just graduated HS
Airfare from Wash, DC (IAD):
$49 each way/ person, purchased tix on United website (RT non-stop IAD to MCO & back).
Car Rental: $16/day for standard thru priceline, Rental Car company was Budget, great service = they were out of standard & full size, only had SUVs & Minivans (I didn't want either) so I got a Mustang convertible! FUN car!
Where we stayed in Tampa (6/4, checked out 6/5):
Wingate Inn USF, 1 mile from BG, hot breakfast & shuttle to BG included. Rate paid $81.10, stayed 1 night. Paid 51.95 each for "be a kid again" tickets - after going thru turnstiles, you go to guest services for 2nd day pass, so $25/day was a great price for passes to BG! The Wingate was very nice & clean, I
would stay there again!
6/5-6/9
We stayed w/ friends a few miles from WDW (my former college roomie has been a cast member @ Disney 27 years in costuming) great accommodations - cost a
dinner in UK before the Space Shuttle launched! It was so much fun seeing the shuttle go up from EPCOT. We had comp tickets, so that was dollarless too!
6/6
We had a princess breakfast in Norway (like the Castle better, miss the traditional Norway food!) @ 10a (princesses were Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Mulan & Aurora)- rode Test track & mission Space before breakfast and got fastpasses for Soarin'. After Soarin' we hung around the World Showcase until 3:30 when we headed over to MK for Pirates, Space Mt., Splash Mt, Dole Whips, dinner @ Harbour House, and went to the new Monster's Inc. Comedy Club... really cute show, we texted jokes & they were read, it's really fun = they say your name & tell your joke! I was really surprised that there was only 1 parade all day, usually MK has a parade every few hours!
6/7
Went to AK in the morning, rode Everest 4 times (we like Everest... a lot!) Max (ds) was talking w/ a violin player near Everest (he will be studying music
@JMU School of Music- plays the viola) & they made him part of a story telling... he was a tree. We split a breakfast @ Tusker House because we had lunch ressies
@ 50's Prime Time later in the day. We spent 12:30- 9p at MGM, riding ToT & RR many times, also took in the Lights, Motors, Action show - they have the jet skis
part of the show now, so it was a "new" show to us! Lunch at 50's Primetime was good, not as many funny things happened this time, but we enjoyed ourselves.
We saw Muppets 3D for the 1st time in a long time... Max wanted to do a lot of the rides we did back when he was a "kid"... awwwwwww, it was fun reminiscing
about our past trips! We saw Beauty & the Beast show, it's better from far away because you can't see the lip syncing.

Boy, did we park hop = 3 parks in one day! We started at MGM, Max wanted to see what the Star Wars weekend thing was all about. It was pretty cool, nice
parade of characters! Then we went back to Animal Kingdom, and finally to EPCOT - best place to view the shuttle launch! We had a great dinner @ the UK,
everyone who worked there signed a Magic Moments certificate wishing him a wonderful future. We were treated very special there! (great Chalk Hill
Chardonnay too!) It was raining when we checked in @ 5p, so we weren't too sure if we'd see the launch. The skies cleared beautifully & this space race baby saw
her 1st Shuttle Launch, I cried! Sooo cooool! We rode rides w/ our friends & viewed Illuminations from Canada... great place for viewing! A perfect day &
perfect night!
6/9
We just "chilled " .... Max caught lizards w/ Sandy's sons, we swam & relaxed. Went to Steak & Shake for lunch, there are no Steak & Shakes in the DC area.
Caught our plane back to IAD @ 7p. I'll be back!
