Mic & Family - August 2007

Who: 3/5 of the Anderson family, Mic, Sean (12) and Sarah (9)
When: August 2007
Trip: Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Center, 5 nights at Disney, followed by a 7 night Magic for Less group cruise out of Miami, and then 3 nights of free dining at Disney.

DAY 18:
Today's report: Magic Kingdom, because you can never get enough

Giving the kids no choice this morning, we were at Magic Kingdom in time to catch the end of the opening show. And we got so much done in those first couple of hours, they “believe” in me again.

We started out in Fantasyland and for the first time ever, I rode Dumbo. (line was always too long b4). We also rode Peter Pan, It’s a Small World (I took a ton of pictures and some video clips on my phone, going to put something together for my mom for Christmas as it’s her favorite ride, any ideas ?)

We then headed over to Adventureland, rode Pirates, then onto Frontierland for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain fast passes. (we were gonna use these right before we left).

We had lunch next at Columbia Harbor House, I love the upstairs seating area, it’s rarely crowded and you can get a table by the window and people watch.

After lunch we stopped at the Wishing Well to make a wish, and then headed to Future World, the kids walked onto Space Mountain twice, then we rode Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Carousel of Progress (yes I still like this, I am a geek, but DD wants to know why the people don’t really age as much as the years go by?), and then Buzz Lightyear. I wanted to do the Laugh Floor again, but there was a wait, so we headed back to Adventureland to ride Pirates one last time, and to get my dole whip. The park was closing early tonight due to a Pirate and Princess Party.

We headed back to our resort and decided to try the pizza in the food court. We kinda missed Sorento’s from the ship, where we could go get a slice anytime we wanted. The pizza was definitely large, we would have had enough even if DH had been there.

After this we decided to try another pool at Pop, and met up with the Stockwells at The Hippy Dippy Pool. We then headed back to our room to pack up our bags as we had to check out in the morning.
