Mic & Family - August 2007

Who: 3/5 of the Anderson family, Mic, Sean (12) and Sarah (9)
When: August 2007
Trip: Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Center, 5 nights at Disney, followed by a 7 night Magic for Less group cruise out of Miami, and then 3 nights of free dining at Disney.

DAY 19:
Today's report: Little bit of MGM, and time to leave

We got up this morning, finished up a few breakfast items we had to eat, I had my chocolate chip cheese cake from the other night and finished packing. We drug our bags down to the Magical Express area and were able to get them checked in. We did not have our voucher as we set up Magical Express too late to get them in the mail. I was told to just check with the Magical Express guy about an hour before our bus left to get a voucher. So we left out carry on’s with Bell Services and headed off to MGM.

We were traveling light to day to make things quicker. We zipped in and headed towards Rockin Roller Coaster as lil DD promised big DD she would ride it. Well lil DD changed her mind, so DS was going by himself, he took off before I could point him towards the single rider line. SIGH. So DD and I spent a long time waiting for him in the gift shop as the ride broke down and took even longer. Then we headed to The Muppet Show for another run.

After leaving the Muppet show we were heading towards the Great Movie ride and it was very dark outside. We got there just as the rain started to hit and were under the cover. As the line was moving forward a cast member came and tried to get people to move out into the que area in the rain, even though there was no need for it (there was not extra people showing up at the entrance, I looked). One family did what she asked, the rest of us looked at her like she was nuts and ducked under the rope. Probably not the best thing to teach my kids, but there was no reason for her to make us go stand out in the rain, it was pouring buckets.

After the Great Movie Ride it was time to head back to Pop Century, get our vouchers (which were handwritten, pretty basic) and head for the airport. We took Northwest home as the flight time was later than Sun Country and the price was the same (even with a one way).

Flight home was uneventful.

Hey Jud, J’AI FINI !
