The trip was GREAT! We had so much fun and it was very relaxing!

Day One - January 3, 2008

Our plane left at 9 am and because of babysitting logistics, Steph (DD 23) dropped us off at the airport at about 6. It was a good thing we were early though because we went to the Lindberg Terminal not even thinking that Airtran flies out of Humphrey. Steph had to get back to the house before Chelsea (DD 15) left for school so Haley 7 and RJ 6 wouldn't be alone, so we took the tram over to Humphrey. The only bad part was after you get off the tram at Humphrey you have to walk about 500 yards outside to actually get to the terminal. We left our coats in the car with Steph so we wouldn't have to deal with them on the plane but it was about 14 degrees out that morning so it was a VERY cold walk/run to get inside! Other than that, the flight was uneventful and smooth. We arrived on time to a very cold Florida (not 14 degrees, but cold) and went to catch ME. Thinking we knew what we were doing, we went to the A side of the terminal, ME is now on the B side. Oh well, we were soon on our way to POR.

We checked in and got building 14 YAY!! It is so close to the main building and the bus stop. We also got anniversary buttons and Ross wore his all week :-)! I was so proud of him! We went to the room to drop off some things and quickly got on our way to MGM (DHS). We were going to be late for our 2:40 ADR. We got to DHS and were stuck by the parade, now we were going to be really late. We couldn't even see the parade because there were so many people. We got to the Brown Derby and they were closed for lunch but opened again in 30 min for dinner. We decided to skip that and just grabbed a turkey leg to share. We sat down to ear it and froze because it was so cold. It would have been fine if the wind weren't blowing but being in only light shirts, it was really cold. We did some inside things like wandering the shops, One Mans Dream and the animation thing that I can't remember the name of right now. When we got out of that the sun was going down and it was getting REALLY cold so we decided to go back to the hotel instead of staying for the Osborne lights and Fantasmic.

We went back to POR and got some dinner and took it back to the room to eat. As soon as we got there bell services brought our luggage (at least we had sweatshirts now). By this time it was about 6:30 pm. We ate dinner in the room and decided to stay in for the evening since we had to be at Epcot at about 7:30 for our Segway tour the next morning. We were in bed asleep by about 8:30 pm.
