DAY 2 - EPCOT

We got up early to get to EPCOT for our EMH. The weather forecast, before we left, said there was only a 30% chance of rain. I decided it would probably be like a normal Florida shower, so I didn't pack the raincoats. (Note to self: ALWAYS pack the raincoats!) I did, though, get a plastic tablecloth at the dollar store & some clips to cover the stroller – just in case. Well, there is this very strange phenomenon that whenever I go to EPCOT (at least as the first park of the day), it rains. Today was no exception. In fact it rained on & off all day. Boy, did I miss those raincoats!

We headed to Nemo 1st (Andy's thing he wanted to do the most). He loved it. We looked at the fish tanks upstairs & he was excited to find a hidden Mickey made of rocks on the bottom. Then off to Soarin' & Living with the Land. We did Living with the Land first, then debated on getting Fast passes for Soarin, but it wasn't very crowded so we decided to ride, then get them on the way out. We then headed to Honey I Shrank the Audience, since we only had an hour for our Fast passes, & we wanted to stay close. Figment was closed as was Spaceship Earth (oh well next time). We went back to Soarin' & went through the Fast pass line. Jay had never seen these & thought that was cool passing all the other people in line. When we got to the bottom, we waited to get on. I knew something was up since there were CMs in the wrong costumes at the front. Finally, they introduced themselves – they were the Dream Team, & we had all won Dream Fast Passes!

I couldn't believe it. I never win anything. We got one ride on 6 different rides for anytime we wanted to use them. The very best experience with them was when we went back to Living with the Land later that day. The line was long & I asked the CM where the Fast pass entrance was. He said they weren't handing them out that day, then he saw our passes, & escorted us passed all the people in the long line right to the front. It was priceless the looks we got. It felt like we were royalty. The rest of the day was so much fun, though wet. We did run into the Dream Team one more time. They were handing out Year of a Million Dreams Ears. They were almost done & I got in line hoping to get one for my little one, but they handed out the last one to the person in front of me. Oh well, you can't win everything.

We were all wet & cold, so we decided to head back to the rooms before Illuminations. We figured they would cancel them, but if they didn't – who wanted to watch them in the rain? At the resort, by the pool they had a big blow-up screen & were showing Finding Nemo. It was so neat. It had been a day of memories.

One other thing to add, the CM at the ticket window had given me a birthday button when we arrived, since we were there to celebrate my birthday. I wore it the first night & the next day at EPCOT. Everywhere we went & everyone we met, wished me a "Happy Birthday". It was something I will always remember. Tomorrow, Downtown Disney & home.
