DAY 3 - Downtown Disney & Home

We checked out & headed over to Downtown Disney for the afternoon. We walked around & Joe had some shopping to do at the Leggo Store. He had saved money from Christmas & had a list of "building" supplies he couldn't wait to get. Andy loves going there because of the slide outside of the Leggo Store. He had a blast playing there while his brother was shopping. It is always a definite stop whenever we swing by that way. We decided we would head over to Rainforest Café to grab some appetizers. The kids had wanted to eat there, since it looked like such a fun place. Just as we finished & were ready to head over, it began to downpour. So we ran from building to building & finally made it just as it stopped.

It was not really crowded yet since it was early. They took us back right away, but seated us way up front by the bar & gift shop. Not the best spot to be with kids. We really couldn't see all the action from there. If you go with kids make sure to tell them you don't want to sit there. We had the chicken fingers, nachos, & some chimi-changa type one (can't remember the name). They were all great & the 6 of us left feeling full.

We walked around some & did some more shopping. Dan & I headed over to Virgin Megastore. It is so fun, especially to see what is on sale since it changes all the time. Then we took the boat back to the Marketplace. After we were shopped out & had our chocolate sample from Ghiradelli, it was time to head home.

It was a little sad to go. It always seems to be that way when we have to return to reality, but we left with the anticipation of the rest of the week with Jay here. It was so great to have him here & the family together that the sadness was very slight. Now I hope to be able to plan a trip (even a mini one) for September with the hope that this time Jay won't have to leave and fly back a few days later.
