Day 2

Well we got up, not too early around 9:30amish. Felt a lot better and excited about our day at MK!!! Got DD something to eat(I brought some ceral, snacks, and ceral bars from home to keep her tied over till we got going).

Went in to take a shower, turned the water on, and then went to pull up the knob thing to turn the shower on, and it wouldn't move. I'm like, hummm, what am I doing wrong? Is there a trick to this? I work and look and work on it for like 10min. I'm feeling really stupid right now, can't get the shower to work. Finally I gave up and called housekeeping/maintenance line. I talked to the CM, telling her I'm feeling really stupid, but how do I get the shower to work. she said she wuold send someone right up. I thank her. Well about 20mn later someone from housekeeping showed up and brought me extra towels. Asks me if I was having a problem with me shower. Yeap, and I told him. He goes in there and tries to pull the knob thing up for the shower. And goes to me "oh, I see you have a problem, I'll have to call someone". Okay....I ask how long b/f someone will come to fix it. He says to me, he will call someone (no time mentioned) and if I need to take a shower use the ice bucket. I thought I heard him wrong.... use an ice bucket?? yeap that is what he says. Well I don't know about you all, and I know everyone is so PRO Disney (and I am to a point), but I didn't decide to stay on property to take a shower using an ice bucket. But kept this point to myself. Again I ask him how long. He tells me just a moment he will call someone. Well he steps outside the room, I thought to call someone and then would tell me. Well a few mins later I'm thinking what is taking him so long, so I open the door and he is GONE. No word to me if he called someone, got ahold of someone or how long. So we wait for almost 1/2hr. No one shows up. So I call housekeeping/maint. again. Still feeling pretty good, excited to get going to MK. DD wants to get going, it's like 10:30amish, our original plan we wanted to be leaving soon. Explained everything again about the issue, the guy telling me to use an ice bucket and him disappearing, etc. She was appalled that he would tell me something like that and apologized to me. And she said she would get someone up here right away. Again I ask her how long does she think, we would like to get in the showers b/c we are heading to MK today. She said as soon as she can get a hold of maintenance. Then she proceeds to tell me, that we can go on to MK, that we don't need to wait around for someone to come and fix that shower. Yeap, you all read correctly!!! I don't know about any of you, but I don't go anywhere in the AM till I had my morning shower!!! Now I'm at a loss for words.....I say "pardon me" and she repeats the same thing again. I say, I can't go anywhere till I take a shower, and since the shower doesn't work, I can't go anywhere. she says "oh". We hang up, I'm shaking my head, not feeling really good about things. Two calls, housekeeping and over an hour later from the 1st call. I call again, talked to a 3rd CM, told her everything. Told her I'm getting a bit upset that I'm still waiting, I've been told to take a shower using a bucket, been told just to leave w/o a shower, that I'm still waiting for someone to come in and fix my shower and it's now close to 1 1/2hrs after I made the 1st call. I am not yelling or angry, but I would like to know when someone will come down and fix my shower, or can housekeeping let us into another room to use the shower. We don't want to spend our 1st full day sitting in the room. She says, I understand, not a problem and asks to put me on hold for a moment. Well 15minutes later I'm STILL on hold. She never came back on the phone, and considering it all I was polite and courteous to her. Still on hold, and there is a knock on the door. Maintenance, finally. I tell main that I'm still on hold over 15min now, and I walk over an hang up the phone. She didn't even have the consideration to get back on the phone to talk to me. Which really irked me, again wasn't yelling, wasn't rude, said please and thank you and still I get treated like that. It took all of 5 minutes for main to fix the problem, a little WD40 and a pair of pliers. She says that's it. It's been 1hr 45min, 3 phone calls, housekeeping all for a 5 min job. This trip isn't going as planned. Nothing huge, but just big enough to put a damper on things. Are my expectations of staying on Disney property too big? Am I expecting too much?? I don't think so..... So I try and let it go, take a nice long, hot shower to try and ease the tension in me. So I can come out and put on a happy face for my DD. Finally it's now after 1pm and we are off to MK. (only 2hrs later than planned).

We get into MK. Stop and had our pictures taken with Chip/Dale. in front of the xmas tree, going down Main Street. Just awed.....walking down Main Street. Finally some smile from me and DD. We finally made it. This is what we have been waiting for and talking about for months. A special mommy/and DD trip and it's here!!!

We are starving, so we stop at the hot dog place, Casey's something right at the end of Main Street. Got DD the kids meal, hot dog, fries, water, and cookie. got me a hot dog. We shared the fries and water. Kept the cookie for a pick me up snack later. And off we went. We got fast passes for BTMR 1st. Told DD she had to try something new from our last trip, and this was it. I love this ride. We came back later and rode it. Even though she won't admit it, she did like it. She would smile when I asked her if she like it and with a smiling giggling face tells me no. LOL. It's a Small World, only had like a 15/20min wait. But Peter Pan and Pirates of the Carribean was like a 45min wait(so we thought we'd come back later for them). We did see Philharmagic for the 1st time, and that was GREAT!!! that was the best new "thing" we did there this time. We did alot of shopping. Did some things that we did b/f, Mad Tea Cup. I wanted to ride Space Mountain, she rode it last time at age 6 1/2, but she wanted to wait. Waited 45min to see the princesses, but too late to get in line for the fairies, it was closed. Waited in line for Ariel(line was 50min). Went on Jungle Cruise and climbed the treehouse. (all new from last trip).Went into Mickey/Minnie's house.Can't recall seeing the parades. Figured we would see them the next night at the xmas party that we had tickets for. Saw the fireworks, partially anyways. We left quite late.

Now the buses, when we left Movies, only had to wait a few min to get a bus to MK. Thought that was great, there was no one already on the bus. We didn't pick up any other stops. Thought good, sports, music, and movies all got there own buses. So I thought. But when we left MK, we got in line for Movies (there were 3 different stops for the allstar resorts). We had to wait quite a while (a bus was getting ready to leave when we got there). I think we got on the 2nd bus after that and had to squeeze in and had to stand. No biggy, but we were TIRED and our feet HURT. But we did stop off at sports and then music to let a bunch of people off. By the time we got to Moives, not many people were left on the bus. I didn't think about this till the end of our trip, but why do that do that? We had our own line for MOvies but most people were from the other 2 resorts. Movies was 1st on the platform, should we have walked to sport at the end, waited less time, and still gotten to movies. if it was a movies line, it should of only went to movies. anyways more on the buses later.....

very tired again. Stopped off at our food court (at least I'm thinking it was that night, but it was late.) I know only 1 counter was open. DD got the kids cheese pizza, bread stick for a side, cookie, and water. We bought a refillable resort mug, so we used that for our pop, and the water from the kids meal went with us to the parks. I got the kids spaghetti, breadstick, cookie, and water. I wasn't that hungry, wanted something small. Pizza was pretty good, my spagetti, okay, there really wasn't any "sauce" mostly just chucks of tomato and onions, I'm not a chucky sauce sort a person. DD wouldn't have like it. But i ate it, was too tired to bother finding something else.

Off to bed, late like 1am
