Fowler - October, 2005

Cast: Me-Disneyfreak (Ann) 35 DS: Evelyn 52 DBIL: John 51 and DN: Matthew 19. Weather was chilly but mostly cloudy and was steady crowd anywhere from 2,000 to 8,000.

Hi all! This is a 4 hour trip after hours at Disneyland Report...Enjoy!

Before trip: This is Evelyn and John's reward for helping me with the yard sale I was doing three weeks ago and Matthew's late Boy Scout Eagle Gift. I won these 4 passes to the Mark and Brian Private Party at Disneyland during the yard sale by being the correct caller w/ the correct answer to the trivia question involving opening week at DL (I said "Chip and Dale Ride" it doesn't even exist!). For more info. http://955klos.com I was happy!

The day of trip: We met at Evelyn's house with my 22 recycleable bottles to get 3 more to make them 25. We also can bring 25 bottles there before going inside to qualify to win 4 Deluxe Annual Passes and 21 Disney DVD. Only the 3 of us cause it's 21 and over but all of us got a free gift which is a 3 D poster of Mark and Brian on Space Mountain. We had footlong subway sandwiches before leaving the house at 7pm and then loaded our car w/ the bag of bottles.

Arrived at 8:15pm and parked at Mickey and Friend's structure. I had the money to pay for parking but didn't see CM to I put it away and proceed to park. We went near the Pinocchio area for the roll call (get the tickets and showed my ID) and then gave the bottles to the people in charge and entered our names. The drawing is early next week...wish us luck! BTW..I entered online at http://abc7.com for four passes to DL on Nov. 5th.

We all got in at 9pm. We walked in Main Street and Goofy and Mickey were there. Suprised me they were there afterhours; but didn't have time to stop for pictures :(.

We walked to Tomorrowland to decide the first ride. We were gonna ride new Space Mountain but everyone wanted to ride and the standby line was over an hour so we didn't want to wait. Fast Passes and Single Rider doesn't open for private parties :(. Evelyn, John, and myself rode Star Tours while Matthew (can't tolerate fast or jerky rides) waited for us nearby listening to this great trash can drum trio. The wait was 15 mins. and we sat in the last row. Then all of us rode the new Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster. The wait was 10 mins. and Evelyn and I sat together (she did much better than I did) while John and Matthew sat together. Ride was ok for me.

We then walked to Advenureland when I noticed the station were just finishing the autograph section w/ Mark and Brian (they're on every Mon.-Sat mornings); I would've like to have it. Oh well. We all went on Jungle Cruise which I videotaped it (don't think these will come out but at least I have sound). Then while Evelyn and Matthew waited, John and I tried 1st time to go on Indiana Jones but CM said the ride was shut down to come back later. Then John and myself went on Pirates w/ just 20 min. wait and sat in the front row. I videotaped it but first 10 mins. of the ride I forgot to take lense cap out of the camcorder. At least the water didn't get into it. I still love it! We went on Haunted Mansion Holiday w/ 10 min. wait. We were inside the chambers when this young lady's long thick hair got caught in my camcorder when I was taping it; but luckily I managed to yankked it off w/out her or anyone else noticing it! Whew!!! There's a few changed inside from last time I rode on it; but the ride was great and Evelyn raved it as "this is too awesome!" We then tried again to ride Indiana Jones but this time we waited 20 mins. and people said it was shut down once again and we left...Oh well!

Afterwards we took pictures of Evelyn, John, and Matthew in front of castle and proceeded to Fantasyland to see if Sleepy Beauty castle was opened; but it wasn't :(. So we tried to see if Toontown was open to ride Roger Rabbit, but all of Toontown and Small World were closed :(. Evelyn, John, and myself rode Matterhorn which it's the only coaster Evelyn would ride on. Wait was 20 mins. but the man in front of us was finishing his cigarette (cough!), which smoking isn't allowed everywhere except the smoking area (but people were smoking anywhere they wanted to!). Great ride!

Then we walked back to Main Street but KLOS was playing music nearby and the song called "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC in the beginning there are sounds of bells like Small World time chime and Evelyn thought this was part of DL!!!! We wanted Ice Cream but the places like Carnation Ice Cream was closed so we went next door to get dessert and coffee. I had cinnamon Roll and coffee which came out to $6.03; it was good! We then went on a couple shops, Evelyn wanted to replace the key chain it broke on her twice! I wanted to find a T-Shrit that says "I'm With Grumpy" but didn't see it but bought the golden ears instead for $12.35. Guess what??? DL doesn't charge for ingraving but the place was closed so I couldn't do it. She couldn't find the key chain btw.

We left the park at 1am and were tired but had a very good time! We got home around 2am and went straight to bed!!
