Whatever your running ability, you won't want to miss the 2010 Walt Disney World Marathon weekend being held January 7-10, 2010.
The weekend will begin on Thursday, January 7 with Disney's Health and Fitness Expo which is is a three-day celebration focused on health and fitness. The event involves celebrity runner appearances, seminars on training, racing, and nutrition. You'll also have the opportunity to experience the latest in running and fitness equipment. The expo will be held Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex on:
- Thursday, January 7, 2010: 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Friday, January 8, 2010: 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday, January 9, 2010: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Disney/Pixar UP & Away Family Fun Run will be held on January 8, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. Adults, teens and tweens can experience a 5K course that winds through a Disney Theme Park with an unforgettable finish! All ages are welcome to compete. Each participant must be able to complete the 5K on their own.
Mickey's Marathon Kids' Fest Kids' Races (13 and under) will be held on:
- Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
- Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
Race events are open to children in the following age groups:
- 2 months and under – Diaper Dash for crawlers
- 1-3 years old – 100m dash
- 4-6 years old – 200m dash
- 7-8 years old – 400m dash
- Open to all children 13 years old & under – Mickey Mile (Friday, January 8 only)
Note: Mickey's Marathon Kids' Fest is now filled to capacity.
On Saturday, January 9, 2010 the The Walt Disney World Half Marathon will take place. It’s runners to your mark on Saturday morning for the 13.1 mile course of the Walt Disney World Half Marathon. Taking you to the Magic Kingdom® Park and then to an exhilarating finish in Epcot, this race is perfect if you are a first timer or a veteran. To compete you must be 14 years of age or older.
Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge will take place on January 9 & 10, 2010. Are you looking for the ultimate test of endurance? Then compete in Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge where you will run the Half Marathon on Saturday and then the Marathon on Sunday. If you finish both races in the time limit you will be awarded the coveted Goofy medal. To compete you must be 18 years of age or older.
On Sunday, January 10, 2009, The final race of the weekend, you will complete the most magical 26.2 miles on Earth. The Walt Disney World Marathon course takes you through all four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks starting with the Magic Kingdom® Park, continuing onto Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park and Disney’s Hollywood StudiosTM and then to an exhilarating finish in Epcot®. This event fills up fast! As of 11/19/09 the event was 94% full.

Half Marathon (1/9/10): $120

Disney's Family Fun Kids' Races 1/8 & 1/9/10):

Cancellation Policy
If your registration for the 2010 event is confirmed and you are unable to participate, you will receive guaranteed entry into the 2011 race if you notify Disney in writing postmarked by November 13, 2009. Please note: You are still required to register for the 2011 race and your entry fee for the 2010 race WILL NOT transfer to the 2011 race.
