In other Disney sports news, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill will add new evening hours beginning February 26th, Thursday through Monday from 5-10 p.m.
Also bus routes have been added from some resorts that will go directly to the ESPN Wide World of Sports rather than using the previous method of catching a bus from Disney's Hollywood Studios. Buses will now run to and from the following resorts between approximately 7 am and 11 pm daily: Disney’s All-Star Resorts, Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Bus times may vary depending on events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. The bus departing from Disney's Hollywood Studios has been discontinued for now. For driving directions, consult this map.
ESPN Re-Launched
This year, the event branches out to the soon-to-be relaunched ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, formerly Disney’s Wide World of Sports. On February 25, 2010 the new name becomes offical.
About ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which hosts more than 300 events a year, is the leading multi-sport venue for amateur and professional sports in the United States, accommodating 60 different sports and athletes from more than 70 countries. Designed to take youth sports to the next level, the 220-acre facility features: The Fieldhouse, a 165,000-square-foot fieldhouse which seats 5,500 for basketball; Champion Stadium ballpark (cap. 11,500); Hess Sports Fields, which include multiple baseball, softball and soccer fields; Jostens Center, an 80,000-square-foot multi-sport fieldhouse; a track and field facility, including a cross country course; a 10-court tennis complex, with stadium; and the Innovation Lab, a real-world testing ground for ESPN’s Emerging Technology group to develop on-air products like Ball Track and ESPN Snap Zoom. In addition, the complex features 56 high-definition cameras (42 robotic, 10 hand-held and four studio) and 40 high-definition video screens, including three jumbo screens, that can capture and display footage from virtually any event taking place at the complex. The camera and video screens, as well as a 20-zone audio system, are controlled through a state-of-the-art Digital Center that features eight edit bays and links to ESPN facilities in Bristol, Conn., New York and Los Angeles.

Mike & Mike Celebrate 10 Years Together
ESPN Radio’s “Mike & Mike in the Morning”will celebrate the show’s 10th anniversary at the newly re-imagined ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort on Wednesday, Feb. 24 (6-10 a.m. ET). ESPN Radio’s popular morning-drive show hosted by Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic launched in January 2000.

Harlem Globetrotters, A Very Special Performance - Feb 25 at 7:00 pm
The world famous Harlem Globetrotters are coming to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The performance will feature ESPN personalities, sports celebrities and appearances by Disney characters. VIP tickets are $50, lower level reserved $35 and upper level general admission $30. All tickets include a commemorative ESPN Wide World of Sports Grand Re-Opening t-shirt.

For all of you Disney sport fans, Disney will be bring customizable shirts to sports event! The Custom Tee Center by Champion is a new experience where you can customize your own sports event tee! When competing at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, take your event tee to the Custom Tee Center by Champion and choose from more than 50 designs that can be added to it in order to celebrate your accomplishment, like 1st Place, Champions, Team Captain, Team Mom, and many more!
The custom designs can be added almost anywhere on your sports event tee. Designs come in a variety of sizes and range from $1.95 to $4.95. Also, look for the Custom Tee Center by Champion inside the Jostens Center, across from the entrance to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill. Exciting state of the art, Mobile locations will also be available throughout the 220 acres of the sports complex during select sporting events to serve guests on the spot.
