What happens when Anna and Elsa take over Hollywood Studios for Frozen Summer Fun LIVE!? It SNOWS in the middle of a Florida summer!
Running now through September 1st, Frozen Summer Fun celebrates the characters, music, and magic that make up the hit film, “Frozen.”
To start the day, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff take part in a special mini-parade, which culminates in a Royal Welcome each day at 11:00 am, and it’s something little (and big!) Frozen fans are thrilled to see.
My personal favorite event of the day was For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. I have to say, I was unprepared for the Sing-Along. Sure, I can join in the chorus of “Let It Go” as easily as the next person :). But I was not expecting the full scale of the production that happens throughout the day at the Premiere Theater, which brings Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and two citizens of Arendelle together to tell the story of “Frozen.”
The telling of that story weaves around the songs of “Frozen,” with the entire theater singing along with the film’s greatest musical moments including “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” “In Summer,” and a little tune called “Let It Go.”
No need to brush up on your lyrics, as they’re presented on the screen (although, if you have any little “Frozen” fans in your home, I’m guessing you won’t need reminders of the words ;).
Offered at various times throughout the day, tickets are required for entrance (please note: these tickets are FREE of charge, this is just a way to divide the crowds so that as many people as possible get the chance to join in the fun). You will want to stop by the Premiere Theater as early as possible in your day to grab enough tickets for your party at your preferred time. (Cast Members at the Park entrance can assist you with finding the location).
Outside of the scheduled events, there is still tons of Frozen Fun going on!
Frozen Funland is THE place to be for wintertime fun in the middle of summer! This mini-complex includes an ice skating rink and a real Snow Playground!
There is an additional charge to ice skate ($10 for 30 minutes per person, which includes skates, socks, and a helmet). However, there is no charge to enter Frozen Funland, and even if you don’t skate, you can still enjoy the festive wintry atmosphere. You may even happen upon a performance on the rink from Oaken’s cousins, like I did!
Next door to Frozen Funland is Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post, (Yoo Hoo!) the main merchandise location for the event. However, you’ll also find plenty of Frozen items around the park to get your Olaf plush and other items.
Dance Parties take place each day from 5:30 – 9:30 pm.
And guess who you can bring to all of the activities listed above? Upon entering the Park, you can grab your own Take-Along version of everyone’s favorite Snowman, Olaf!
Be sure to check out the hashtag info on the back of Olaf – you can use #OlafSummerVacation to share your pictures with Take-Along Olaf on social media, and your picture might be shared during the evening fireworks presentation.
That’s right… I said fireworks! Each day ends with the Frozen Fireworks Spectacular, set to the unforgettable music of the film.
