Out of all the pools at Disney one of the best ones for little kids is The Lost City of Cibola at Coronado Springs. The theme of a lost ancient Aztec city is so well thought out in the design of the pyramid as the center of the pool. Along with their fantastic play area for kids complete with a giant human checker board and little Aztec playground. The feel of this pool is of a hidden oasis lost in time and is personally one of my favorite pools.
The slide here is incredible! A 123 ft. long spiral through the pyramid and jungle around complete with a spitting jaguar is fun for all ages and is definitely worth sliding down more than once. This pool area is also home of the largest hot tub on Disney property, able to fit 22 people at once! No matter where you’re at you’re sure to find something amazing throughout this pool.
If you’re looking for a bite to eat then look no further than Siestas Cantina pool bar. With nachos, veggie burgers, fish tacos, and many more poolside classics with a Mexican flare the food here is delicious. You can choose between the small plates or larger fair and have a whole meal at the pool. Either way you’re sure to find something yummy.
The seating around this pool is truly spectacular. With the variation of close to pool but also hidden spots farther away from the crowds. You may have to search but there are levels of stairs hidden around the pools that hold little seating area and sometimes tables and umbrellas as well. So if you’re in the mood for a quiet relaxing time keep your eyes peeled, you’ll find your own private oasis at this pool.
The Coronado Springs pool area is a fantastic and relaxing experience. Make sure you take it in on your next trip to this resort.
