My family took the opportunity to play Mini Golf on our last vacation at Walt Disney World, and like anything at Walt Disney World, it is of course not just any old mini golf course, but one with fun Disney details. The story line is pretty much what Santa and the elves do in the “off season”. There are two courses, one is winter, and one is summer. We had played the summer one previously so chose the winter one for this game.
One of what I think the best things is for this mini golf course is location location location. It is located next to Blizzard Beach water park and would be a great chance to get out of the water, dry off, maybe warm up a bit and have some fun. Then you could head back to Blizzard Beach and head for the water again. Alternately it’s a great option for something on a non park day, or an evening off from the parks.
There is one other mini golf course on Disney property called Fantasia, and that is located near The Swan and Dolphin resorts, we have not yet tried that one out.
Parking for Winter Summerland is located in the same lot as Blizzard Beach although there is a separate entrance if you are driving. If you are using Disney buses, take the bus to Blizzard Beach. If you have the water parks plus options on your Magic Your Way tickets, you can use one of your plus options for mini golf, or if you received mini golf vouchers with your package, you can use those as well. The additional cost to add on the water parks plus to multi day tickets is a flat fee of $68.16. Lastly, you can pay out of pocket for mini golf, cost is currently $14 for adults, and $12 for children ages 3-9.
Unfortunately a storm rolled in and we were only able to get halfway through the course, we were issued a rain check to come back and play again, no expiration so hopefully we can return on a future trip.
