The Holidays are almost here, with Thanksgiving, of course, being next week. Many people wonder when planning their Thanksgiving holiday vacations, where can I get a traditional Thanksgiving meal? The most common thought is, of course, Liberty Tree Tavern, which serves up a Thanksgiving style meal each and every day. But unless you can get your dining reservation schedule for 180 days out, the chances of getting to dine there for Thanksgiving is actually pretty slim. Everyone wants that option because it’s the most obvious!
But I have good news for you! Quite a few other restaurants will be serving up Thanksgiving day meals! I hope that in the future, this blog post can be a tool for those who are looking to schedule Advanced Dining Reservations for upcoming year’s Thanksgivings. I hope this post will help to give you an idea of places you should maybe consider to dine to celebrate the Holiday with your family and friends. While a few dishes and restaurants may change, there are lots of options available for guests to celebrate, not just Liberty Tree Tavern!
Where would I choose to dine if I had the option of eating Thanksgiving dinner at Walt Disney World? Here’s my Top 5 choices:
- Liberty Tree Tavern (because it’s the most traditional)
- Trail’s End (also has a very traditional menu)
- 50s Prime Time Cafe (if I’m not at home, I’d want to be with “family”)
- Cape May Cafe (crab legs AND Thanksgiving…sold!)
- Whispering Canyon Cafe (again, it seems like a more traditional offering and a fun setting)
(Honorable mention: Tusker House. Some friends of mine ate their last year and they raved about it.)
Of course, no matter where you choose to dine during the Thanksgiving Holiday, it truly doesn’t matter what’s on the menu. All that matters is that you are there celebrating with your loved ones.
I hope that no matter where you celebrate Thanksgiving, you enjoy this holiday where we realize what we are most thankful for. As for me, I am most thankful that because of Disney, I have been able to welcome some wonderful people in my life, many of whom I call my best friends.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
