- A brand new experience will run from April 17 – September 15. Called the After Hours Wind Down, guests will have the opportunity via a special ticket to visit one of four lounges for appetizers and a beverage flight. The four lounges that can be chosen from are Spice Road Table (Morocco), La Cava del Tequila (Mexico), Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar (Italy), and Rose & Crown Pub (United Kingdom). The event will run Thursdays – Sundays from 9:20 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. and the cost is $35 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Only those 21 and up may participate.
- For Star Wars Weekends this year, Disney is bringing back the D-Tech Me experience. Here, guests can have a 3D scan of their face created, which will then be cast onto a 3D mold. Guests can choose from one of four molds: Carbonite, Stormtrooper, X-Wing Pilot, or Alderaan Princess. The cost is $99.95 for a 7 inch figurine or $1,499.95 for a 16 inch figurine. The experience will occur in Darth’s Mall, a special merchandise shop created for the event. To book your experience, call (407) WDW-TECH. A credit card number will be required to hold the reservation, and cancellation fees may apply. This opportunity will only take place during Star Wars Weekends.
- Easter is less than one week away and the Magic Kingdom will be celebrating with some fun. Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny will be meeting guests in Town Square at Main Street USA. Also, a special Easter pre-parade will take place before Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. This pre-parade will include Mr. Easter Bunny, Easter-themed characters, dancers, and the famous Azalea Trail Maids.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be celebrating Earth Day on April 22. Guests are invited to participate in the Party for the Planet. Activities will include:
- Nature activities.
- A Party for the Planet postcard.
- In Rafiki’s Planet Watch, enjoy a game where guests learn how your supermarket purchases can make a difference to wildlife.
- Find out how to make your backyard wildlife friendly.
- The ability to talk to Cast Members about worldwide conservation efforts.
- Get your face painted or a caricature drawn.
- Vendors selling green products
- Learning about the brown bear tying into the movie, Bears.
- A special Duffy the Disney Bear will be for sale. He will be dressed in a safari costume and for every one of these bears sold, $1 will be donated to the National Parks Foundation, celebrating the movie, Bears.
