- As a reminder: Anna and Elsa from Frozen have now moved from the Norway Pavilion at Epcot to now meeting guests at the Magic Kingdom’s Princess Fairytale Hall. Guests can now also attempt to obtain FastPass+ reservations to meet the sisters.
- A couple of attractions will be seeing refurbishments over the summer. The first is It’s Tough To Be A Bug, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be closed for a little over a month long refurb, from July 7 – August 11. Also, Carousel of Progress at the Magic Kingdom will see a brief refurbishment from August 25 – September 4.
- A brand new and free cell phone charging station is going to be tested at the Magic Kingdom in both Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. These charging station will work as follows: Guests will swipe their credit card (which is only used for identification purposes, not charging purposes), they will follow the prompts on the touch screen and connect their phone, then shutting the door. When the phone is charged, the guest can then remove the phone by swiping their credit card again. Devices allowed include Android, iPhone, and Blackberry and only phones will be able to fit inside the locker.
- A new test of walk around entertainment is taking place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests can meet Professor Parker Woodson, from the Dino Institute and her pet velociraptor, named Val. The duo roam the streets, meeting guests. This test will only run a few weeks and it appears that showtimes will be 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.
