My daughter and I needed to select a budget friendly Walt Disney World Resort for a three night stay. It’s been a while since we’ve stayed at a value resort, and we chose the All Star Sports Resort. It was new to us, the price was right, and the theme looked fun!
Our room had two double beds. We each had our own bed, so this worked out fine for us. I found the mattress and pillows to be comfortable! I also enjoyed the color scheme of the décor.
Along the wall opposite of the beds were the table and chairs and the entertainment center. There were three rather deep drawers on one side of the cabinet, and the small beverage cooler was on the other side. We were able to fit plenty of beverages in our beverage cooler, and it kept our drinks nice and cold.
The bedroom area had some hooks which came in handy, and we liked the detailed sports themed wallpaper border that highlighted the room.
The bathroom area had a privacy curtain that separated the bedroom area and the sink. We were provided with H2O Blushing Orange facial bar soap, shower bar soap, and an H2O Blushing Orange combination shampoo and conditioner. Opposite the sink was an open closet area that was perfect for hanging clothes and storing luggage. The room safe was against this wall. The shower curtain continued with the sports theme.
We had such a short stay that we did not get to swim, but the resort pools looked inviting! We did do a load of laundry, and just like our room the laundry facilities were kept clean and spotless.
The End Zone Food Court had a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was recently remodeled and had plenty of seating.
For recreation, in addition to swimming, there was an activities calendar that was given to guests while checking into the resort. They had afternoon pool games and Movies Under the Stars each night. The All Star Sports Resort is a sister resort to the All Star Music Resort and the All Star Movies Resort. That means that guests at any of those resorts may use pools at each resort and/or take part in pool games and Movies Under the Stars at any of the All Star Resorts.
We have discovered that sometimes the All Star Resorts share buses to the parks, and sometimes they do not. A benefit of staying at All Star Sports is that when buses are shared, the All Star Sports Resort is always the first stop going to the parks and getting off from the parks.
The All Star Sports Resort has five sections that include Surf’s Up, Hoops, Center Court, Touchdown, and Homerun Hotel. They are all so nicely themed that we couldn’t pick a favorite! We stayed in the Surf’s Up section, which is a preferred section because of its close location to Stadium Hall and the bus stops.

The friendliness of the cast members, the cleanliness of our room, and the filled-with-sports-fun themed areas of this resort made the All Star Sports Resort a pleasant place to stay! Although the value resorts do not have as many amenities as the moderate and deluxe resorts do, the value resorts offer all of the perks of staying onsite at Walt Disney World and have a lively atmosphere. The All Star Sports Resort hit a home run with impressing us with our stay!

Your blog pretty much echos what I felt, not as many amenities, but I loved the new look in the rooms and the extras like the hooks on the wall. It was a great choice for us for a budget stay!
Glad to hear you liked All Star Sports! The All Star Resorts are a good and budget friendly place to stay. The large icons provided great photo opportunities, too!
I prefer pop century. But my second chicle is sports so glad you had a good time
We enjoy Pop Century, too. I think that I prefer the All Stars because they seem a little quieter, but Pop has a great atmosphere with the Hippy Dippy pool and the shadow boxes in the lobby are awesome! Thank you for your comment!
