Beginning later this spring, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps from Zootopia will be appearing at the Magic Kingdom by joining in the “Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It!” Street Party.
- The Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom location at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square is not available. Guests should head to the Firehouse on Main Street, U.S.A. if they wish to play the game.
- Big Thunder Mountain originally had a planned refurbishment set for April 4 through to July 15, but that work has now been pushed back to August 8 to November 18, reopening to guests on November 19.
- The highly anticipated opening date for the upcoming nighttime show for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Rivers of Light” and other the nighttime elements will be debuting on April 22.
Debuting at the park will:
- Rivers of Light: This mystical show combines water and fire effects to tell animal narratives like never before.
- Tree of Life Awakening: Guests will be able to see the Tree of Life undergo extraordinary “awakenings” throughout the evening as the animal spirits are brought to life by magical fireflies that open a window into the body of the tree, revealing colorful stories of wonder and enchantment.
- Nighttime excursions on Kilimanjaro Safaris: The iconic park attraction will experience an extended twilight with the addition of strategically placed lighting that mimics the sunset.
- New Entertainment: The Discovery Island Carnivale will dance its way through Discovery Island, gathering Guests to a street party across from Flame Tree Barbeque. In Africa, The Harambe Wildlife Street Parti includes a number of musical acts and acrobats.
- New Food & Beverage: A new hot food cart will open near Rivers of Light and specialty popcorn and beverage containers themed to the lotuses and lanterns in the nighttime show will be available.
- For a limited time beginning on March 18, Guests will be able to catch a sneak peek of Disney’s all-new live-action adventure The Jungle Book at One Man’s Dream attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The peek will offer Guests an advance look at scenes from the film with a special introduction by director Jon Favreau.

New friends from Finding Dory will soon join Crush at Turtle Talk with Crush at Epcot’s The Seas with Nemo n early May. Guests will be able to meet Destiny the whale shark, Bailey the beluga whale and Hank the septopus. Crush’s very own mini-man Squirt will also be swimming by for the first time, and Guests might even catch a glimpse of Nemo and his dad Marlin.

Opening on March 11 at Marketplace Co-Op, will be Disney Travel-Accessories-Gear (TAG) which is a travel-themed shop featuring travel essentials with retro-modern designs for the journey to and from Disney destinations. Disney TAG products combine practicality and clever design with canvas suitcases, luggage tags, reusable totes, Passport wallets, neck pillows and more.
- Fans of Frozen will have a chance to enjoy the inaugural Frozen Games at Disney’s Blizzard Beach this summer. Guests visiting Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park can choose to join “Team Kristoff” or “Team Olaf” and participate in a variety of Frozen-themed activities including Ice Pail Relays, a Snowball Toss, Ski Pole Limbo and Slide Races. Olaf and Kristoff will be joined by members of The Winter Games Committee in the games’ Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and they will give updates throughout the games to report on their team’s accomplishments.
- Cinderella will now waltz through Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in the Princess Promenade on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Guests can meet Cinderella at 3:30 p.m. in M. Mouse Mercantile.
