One of the cult classic desserts at Walt Disney World is a treat called the Zebra Dome. The Zebra Dome began its life at Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. It could be found in the dessert section of the buffet and got its name because the colors resembled that of a zebra.
Well, due to the treat quickly become a fan favorite, the resort hotel started offering Zebra Domes for Guests to be able to buy in their refrigerated section of both The Mara, as well as the gift shop onsite.
Zebra Domes can be found in packs of four and are white on the outside (kind of a white chocolate flavor) and the on the inside is a creamy Amarula Cream Liquor mousse. All of this sits on a think layer of vanilla cake. The finished product is the coated with a chocolate drizzle and includes flat chocolate chips.
The Zebra Domes have a nice sweet taste to them. They do have a mild flavor of the alcohol, much like a tiramisu would have. I personally don’t find them overly rich, but absolutely satisfying. I can eat the whole four pack and be a happy camper. (Nor do I feel bad about myself for not sharing! It’s vacation, right?!)
What makes this treat so illusive is you can only purchase it at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, so you either have to be staying here, or be making a trip to the Lodge for one reason or another. But trust me…it’s definitely worth making the stop.

You’re killin’ me! These are my absolute favorite. I wish they traveled better so I could bring them home (or have friends bring me some!). Yum!!
