While non-alcoholic beverages like soda and coffee are included with your Disney Cruise Line fare, sometimes, you want something a little bit fancier than a cup of coffee. Sometimes you want to choose a latte or an iced coffee. That’s where Cove Cafe comes in handy onboard the Disney Fantasy.
The Cove Cafe is a nice quite respite on Disney Cruise Line. Technically, it’s found in the adult area of the ship and it is a full coffee bar, with fancy espresso machines. Choose from espresso, cappuccino, latte, Americano, and many different flavored variations. But if you want your coffee Irish, they can certainly make it that way, with a number of choices that can be included in your beverage.
I love the laid back atmosphere of The Cove Cafe. It’s filled with small tables where you can enjoy a drink with a friend or you can choose to sit in one of the comfy couches or chairs and read a book. There’s also a ton of great black and white photographs scattered throughout of Walt and his family.
While you do have to pay for your beverage here, I don’t find the pricing to be obscene. It’s actually relatively inexpensive for a drink – around $2.00 – $3.00. But there’s something that makes things even better! Pick up one of their Café Fanatic rewards card and if you purchase 5 beverages, you’ll get every sixth specialty coffee free. The other thing to keep in mind is that drinks are one size, no small, no grande – they really are one size fits all. If you are a venti coffee drinker, you’ll tend to think that it’s relatively small. That means that this can get expensive quickly potentially.
The drinks here are what you would expect, but delicious. While the coffee options aren’t super varied, they do offer both hot or iced choices. If you aren’t in the mood for coffee, they also offer quite a few tea options.
Now, because it’s a cruise ship and I take my cruises in the summer, my favorite treats are the iced beverages. I chose the Mocha Frappe to enjoy. It was delightful! It was perfectly frozen, with a nice chocolate flavor mixed with the coffee. It’s such a delicious treat!
I’ve also had the warm mocha, which once again, was similar to the mocha frappe. It was deliciously chocolate and a wonderful pick me up.
The regular cafe latte is good too, especially if you don’t need the sugary sweet beverage. The coffees are incredibly smooth.
Cove Cafe also features a number of great small treats, that you can freely to choose from and enjoy with either your coffee of just on its own.
Overall, I’m a big fan of Cove Cafe. I think it’s a wonderful choice for Guests to stop by. Make sure you don’t miss it on your next cruise.
