Christmas at Walt Disney World is magical! From the larger than life Christmas trees adorning every hotel lobby and theme park, to the gigantic gingerbread cookie artwork, to the “snow” falling on Main Street U.S.A., there’s nowhere better to get in the holiday spirit! Being a lover of all things dessert, holiday treats play a big part in getting me in the Christmas spirit, and Disney does not disappoint! Here, I’m bringing you my 5 favorite holiday treats at Walt Disney World this year!
1. Mickey Mouse Cake- Amorette’s Patisserie
If you’re looking for something gorgeous and show-stopping, look no further than Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs. This pastry shop serves up beautiful pastries and sweets that are almost too pretty to eat. Brownies shaped like Mickey, beautiful lemon tarts, and pumpkin crème brulee are among my favorite options here. If you’re in the holiday spirit, you’ve got to go for the Christmas Mickey Character Cake. This dome-shaped cake is filled with delicious layers of cake, mousse, and pate de fruit jelly. During the holidays, you can find special dome cakes that really get you in the holiday spirit!
2. Assorted Candy Apples- The Confectionery and Big Top Treats
Only in Walt Disney World will you find caramel and candy apples that look like art. Alongside the classic chocolate or caramel-dipped apples, you’ll see many specialty seasonal apples! Santa Mickey, Christmas Minnie, Jack Skellington, Olaf, and snowflake Mickey apples are available at sweet shop counters or pre-packaged if you’re looking for a special souvenir for somebody back home!
3. Assorted Rice Crispy Treats- The Confectionery
I’m a big fan of portable treats, and rice crispy treats are delicious and easy to eat as you stroll down Main Street U.S.A., making them an obvious addition to my list! Less messy than a caramel apple, these crisp rice treats are adorable and seasonal! I spotted Santa Mickey, a stocking with sprinkles, and snowflake Mickey treats that tempted me! I went with Santa Mickey, and it didn’t disappoint!
4. Gingerbread Cupcake- Sprinkles
We have a few Sprinkles locations where I live, but something about eating one of these delicious cupcakes in Disney Springs makes them even more delicious. During the holiday season, Sprinkles comes out with special holiday flavors and decorations. Among them is the gingerbread cupcake, a treat I wait all year long to enjoy! This gingerbread cake is topped with a delicious cream cheese frosting and an adorable little gingerbread man to put you in the holiday spirit!
5. Pluto Popcorn Bucket- Popcorn Stands throughout the Parks
This was an unconventional choice for me, but I thought a salty treat deserved a spot on my list. This adorable collectable popcorn bucket features Pluto decked out in a holiday sweater and Santa hat with a special Christmas bone! Filled with delicious hot popcorn, this treat makes a great snack for park days, as you can close it up when riding an attraction. If you’re a popcorn lover like me, this is a must!
BONUS: Take-home Treats- Throughout the Parks
As a bonus, I had to mention some of the adorable souvenirs found throughout the parks! Great for souvenirs back home, there are some adorable pre-packaged holiday popcorn flavors (I am dying to taste the gingerbread flavor!), seasonal hot cocoas and flavored coffees, shortbread cookies in a music box Christmas tree, marshmallow pops, and more! I think my fiancé will be getting some red and green M&Ms in his stocking this year!
